INnoVation's younger brother Lee Min-Hyung (15 years old) participated in the League of Legends category in the recent Korea e-Sports Games (KeG). The KeG is an amateur tournament held by KeSPA and the Korean government, where top amateurs and aspiring pros form teams to represent their region (like Seoul, Busan, etc).
INnoVation actually competed in the very first KeG back in 2007, where he finished 4th in the StarCraft: Brood War category. He took a pro-team entrance test right there, which led to him starting his progaming career.
The younger Lee's team, the Daejeon representatives, finished in the top eight.
Fomos interviewed Min-Hyung, who revealed that he's looking to follow in his brother's footsteps and become a progamer. In fact, he said that watching his brother win championships was what made him want to go pro, and that his father was supportive as well.
(LoL stuff: Lee is an ADC main, and goes back and forth between Master and Challenger on the ladder. He pointed out PraY as his role model)

i hope he's as bad at interviews as his brother

That's awesome, getting inspiration from your bro to go pro, hopefully mini innovation does well.

I like how the title is deliberately misleading to make people think this is about StarCraft when it's actually about League... on a related note, wouldn't this belong in the LoL subforum?
|
What is his IGN?
Also Innovation??

I wonder if his brother runs on the same OS as innovation.

Innovation's newer model? Should we be scared?

I doubt league of legends players know Innovation or even who Flash is.

We've always allowed posts about SC2 progamers that might interest the community, even when not directly related to StarCraft II. Rain giving a liver transplant to his father or Boxer becoming a pro-poker player are good examples.
Don't let your insecurity about League of Legends ruin your day.

Why you mislead me with this title Wax?

That's just Innovation in a wig!!
Also, that's so cool! I wonder how supportive Inno is of his brother.

One the most heartbreaking sc2 moment T_T but at least after 2013 he became quite good in wining finals
Also the news is good Waxangel, too bad it isn't on sc2, it would have been SICK

starcraft posters want this forum to eventually become a single thread containing nothing but essay-length rants about How To Save The Game and any other threads that are posted on any topic result in an immediate IP ban for OP

I also thought it meant going sc2 pro, but I guess I didn't get enraged when I read the post itself? It's still interesting.

So apparently not caring about League is somehow an insecurity? Nice ad hominem bro, but I don't care as much as you seem to think I do. I just think it's a waste of my time.

It's fine, but this is the SC2 forum, it just doesn't belong in here. If Garry Kasparov son goes pro in draughts. The chess world just won't care.

Ah yes the good old "clearly you care because you spent 5 seconds writing a post" fallacy. I would expect better from someone who's been here for 4 years.
You got me dude, every night I can't go to bed without frothing at the mouth and shaking my fist compulsively for 3 hours as I think about League posts in SC2 forum...

It's way more likely that they know Flash btw

Cool, sad it's not about SC2 though
|
Isn't this just Inno building a new shell, implanting his memories in it and telling him, "I have Starcraft 2 under my command. Now it's time to expand my territory to League of Legends."?
|
Interesting, although it's just LoL, not StarCraft...
|
I don't think we are getting ANY new Korean progamers in SC2 except few of those who were already on their way and close to becoming SC2 pro. That's why, besides teams gone, foreigners are catching up at last. It's like Reach, Yellow, Boxer continuing to be the core of Korean progaming scenes long past their prime.
I would be surprised if he indeed chose SC2; it's kinda sad because in sports people can choose and make a living in minor sports. However, SC2 probably isn't large enough to attract any new progamers at this point.
|
If he's actually challenger tier on ladder he's pretty much on pro gamer level already imo. Best of luck!
