Let me know if there are mistakes so I can fix them!
Also, fun fact: Scarlett signed up as Protoss. These aren't binding sign ups or anything so on site she isn't forced into that but it is a fun sign!

She's flip flopped back and forth between toss and zerg lately, though for an offline tournament I could really see her sticking with toss. Should be fun

nice to see uThermal playing... and its nice to see Endersword still kickin' around. he used to do a great job working in the Toronto scene.
|
Seeing all those american and canadian flags makes me so happy.
|
That is so Nice of Scarlett. She is torn between Selendis and being the Queen of Blades right now. lol

I am going for the second time, super hype for this, it was great last year.

These tournaments have become so utterly boring with the Korean player ban. That said I hope Special takes it as I believe he's the most naturally gifted player there.
|
I think that although controversial, the region lock has really benefited the WCS region. I've found the games to be very exciting, and I think a lot of the players have really stepped up to do well even against some of the top Korean players.
It also makes the end Blizzcon really exciting even though most of the foreigners don't win against the Koreans.

Man I bought my ticket and totally forgot to sign up lol. This was a good reminder.

Maybe iG.MacSed is better

I think "utterly boring" is quite harsh. A lot of the series from previous Dreamhacks have been a lot of fun. There are numerous players who have thrived (whether they finally broke out or made a splash onto the scene) because of the adjusted scene and have kept this great game going: Kelazhur, uThermal, Elazer, Serral, ShoWTimE, MaSa, souL, PiLiPiLi...to name a few.
But your opinion on the matter.
I'm just excited to watch some more SC2 and see Has cheese the shit out of some nerds and for MaSa to make a strong run.

How close to the last top 16 or 8 can we come this time?
|
Cheering loudly for Zanster, Serral, Kelazhur and Neeb!
|
|
Hopefully Cyan and old-timer MacSed will make China proud!

There is a typo in the number of WCS points and you can add the name of ShoWTimE team, Arma (isn't MacSed an Invictus Gaming player also ?). Other than that, thank you for the list !
I wonder if iAsonu realised that he had a big chance to make it to BlizzCon with a good run in Montreal before choosing to stick with GPL (and win 200 pts only). I'd like to have him to BlizzCon. Too bad.

Elazer is on team Qlash, but I guess you just posted his ID the way he registered himself on the site?
|
As per every year, I recommend Moishe's for anyone visiting Montreal.

As my fellow countryman, I am rooting for SpeCial! As my fellow protoss brothers, I am rooting for Neeb, MaNa & ShoWTimE! As my personal team bias, and rooting for all you Liquid boys! Good luck to everybody!
|
I guess we get to watch Has get beaten by real players again
|
Also gogo ShowTime. Looking disgustingly good in challenger but we only saw his PvZ. (Which is most likely all he'll need anyway considering the amount of Zergs)

Hymy is representing Ethiopia? This must be the first time Africa is represented since Pandatank was around, no? Glad to have Sortof and Zanster there to join Namshar, defending the pride of the Swedish hives. The Hives! Tick Tick Boom or something.

Nah, that doesn't count. It wasn't even in the WCS.
|
Nice to see SpeCial in the list!
|
NA going to show UP for this event super hyped!
|
Does anyone know what happened to Stephano? Did he give up after his challenger result?

GPL is just WCS qualifier in a fancier form, he's not sacrificing anything

Cloudy's VISA fails. Cyan's Visa fails as well. Cyan has no success in visa issue this year, same in Austin and Valencia

Nope, Cyan lost again in his visa problem.

This tournament loses something without most of the Chinese players.
The circuit is interesting when you have players from all over the world competing.
We need Chinese players in Dreamhack and we need some more significant Chinese tournaments.

We need Chinese players in Dreamhack and we need some more significant Chinese tournaments. Just better coverage of existing Chinese events would already help a lot. Them being only on Douyu and only in Chinese is beyond inconvenient.

Actually Hymy is from Estonia and he is marked at least in liquipedia as estonian. Sorry to ruin your hype. ;_;

Estonian Ethiopian then. I can settle for that.
