A new version of the GSL Code S groups was published with 5 players, Leenock, Bunny, jjakji, Impact and RagnaroK on a new team, TitanEX1. Not much is known about this team and the signings have gone under the radar but both Impact and Bunny have confirmed it on twitter.

I hope we don't have another LYGF situation on our hands, but it's definitely a possibility. It reminds me more of Sonic & SBENU. A young, rich guy with an interest in esports and money to burn.

TitanEX1 has a little code on GitHub, some data mining stuff you can see on Twitch, a few mostly empty websites, everything managed by this one person, and that's all.

Currently there isn't any evidence that there is any money, though they do list an office address "중구 명동2길 34, 9층 9141호 (충무로1가,케이티명동빌딩" which doesn't look like its supposed to be just a mailing address like the other Singapore address. Someone in Seoul could check that out, and if there's actually an office there (or at least the office space is payed for) they probably have the money to pay the players.

It's possible that this team could go under randomly one day but if the players are paid in the meantime I say go for it.

Few years ago, I was looking into developing some RTS agents, there was a lot of support and some nice API for SC1, so I've tried that, but since I don't know much about that game, debugging was a nightmare, it's really nice to see there is some groundwork laid out for SC2, I'll check it out, add something if I find the time, thanks a lot for all your efforts!

I guess my question would be what kind of support are you giving the players? I understand if you don't want to give exact terms of contracts if there are any, but what are you doing for them? Do they get a team house provided? Meals? A small salary or stipend? I understand gamer salaries can be incredibly low ($500-1000/month?), so it's not unbelievable for a relatively high net worth individual creating a team when the demand for players is low. However, I think the biggest tell of legitimacy is whether the players have been paid or have been receiving any sort of compensation yet. If keaneu or one of the players could confirm that, a lot of this thread will be put to rest and congratulations will be given without cease.

Edit: I suppose, yes, it's possible if they are foolish and let their prize earnings go through the team first, then they can lose something out of it.

It's a pretty sweet deal that helps players like Leenock focus on just training for GSL. That's really cool, thanks for the update Rapid
