Wow congratulation for Scarlett. The last time she was this close was when she was 2nd place against JD. I haven't kept up with the scene for a while since the region lock for wcs. Can someone explain to me why there were so little Korean representative for a tournament that was held in Korea? It seems the scene is artistically trying to balance out the competition.

It seems the scene is artistically trying to balance out the competition. This event in particular was held with the support of the IOC (Olympic committee). So just like the Olympics, they wanted representatives from every region even if they weren't quite as good.

Of course sOs tried all he could to stop her and in general sOs still shines with great skill. Playing like this I have hope for sOs in the GSL. But may be pure aggression is the ultimate weapon to stop the unorthodox style of sOs. May be the maps are in favor of Scarlett right now and for aggressive early and middle game zergs. But this doesn't change the fact that she really played well and to be honest, I wanted for her to grab this trophy, despite that sOs is one of my very favorite players all times. After so many years I wanted to see Scarlett with a major tournament trophy especially if you defeat one of the very top players right now and for the last 4-5 years. Actually both of them demonstrated good defence and micro. I think in this case it was a matter of will and Scarlett really wanted this. She took more risky strategies and it worked for her. No doubt it’s easier to play when you have balance on your side.

If RO16 goes the way everyone think it does, beating zest and leenock wouldn't be too 'impressive'. Winning against Dark or Soo in the quarterfinals should at least mean her ZvZ is top notch. For amusement's sake, I do hope she will meet sos in the semi-finals again. To validate the (insane) level of hype, Scarlett would have to defeat a top Korean Terran in GSL. Which is to say, INnoVation or TY. And that's probably not going to happen. I bet you feel like an idiot right now.

I highly doubt pvsnp will admit to this mistake, likely he/she will simply make some excuse for Innovation and that this proves nothing. I hope to be wrong, prove me wrong please pvsnp. Own it.
