Hi everyone,
long term lurker, oft banned shitposter.
I've always been a TB fanboy but his King of the Hill tournaments made me love the guy even more.
Most of you are probably aware of this, but his health has been deteriorating again lately and I'm wondering if there's anything we as a community can do to cheer him up.
Apart from monetary help, of course. I know he's in the US of A now and his medical bills are probably mental, and he also fosters his wife's son, so I'm sure he'll appreciate when people buy his merch.
What I'm thinking of is like a collage of cheerfuls akin to the GSL cheerfuls with positive messages, made into a giant, digital get well soon card. Just spit-balling, maybe someone more creative can come up with a less lame idea. I know he loves Warhammer and dogs, so that's two cheerful themes already.
Perhaps TL mods who know him personally could chime in. I don't know, I just want the community to show their appreciation of a guy who's done a lot for us and SC2.
Hope this isn't against the rules.

How can it be ?
i'm with you on that

I think that TB-cheerfuls are a great Idea. Perhaps someone could make a template like we had for GSL?
Perhaps we could do it with his hat: + Show Spoiler +

How 'bout a tourney? He ran a couple of those. Something with some heart.

Don't do a tourney unless TB can cast it.

Well.. OP is probably ban dodging so... But yeah w/e.

Yeah, I'm ready to help whether it's some modest donation or just cheerful message. Just let me/us know if we're doing something other than discussing it.

Early 30's with stage 4 bowel cancer, sometimes life is just cruel, I really hope the clinical trial goes well for him. Most people aren't exactly benefiting heavily from recent and budding cancer treatments like immunotherapy but the ones that do benefit seem to be outright cured, crossing my fingers this happens for him, he must be terrified.

Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family, I wish there was something we could all pull together and do for him as well.

That's brilliant, maybe that's a good first step.
Is everyone down for making a cheerful with that? Perhaps a TL insider who has TBs contact info could then forward the collage to him if we get enough people to make a cheerful.

I hate the man but I would at the very least make sure my criticism was grammatically legible.

Guys, this is an appreciation thread for an awesome person who's dying of anus cancer in his thirties, could you keep the hate out of here please? The man has integrity and passion for SC2, that's all that matters here.
Even constructive criticism of TB has no place here so kindly fuck off.

I was not aware of this. That is majorly sad news. He's been one of my heroes ever since I saw him "suuuuck at sc2"

Behaving condescending towards non-native speakers, that's quite the convenient approach, isn't it?!

Growing up doesn't necessarily mean turning into a huge dick, you may have misunderstood the concept here.

I mean.. Black kettle here buddy. Who thinks it's a good idea to go into an appreciation thread and talk negatively about the person in question? You're lacking some human decency here
