Actually, I think it's been mentioned in several places that Pillars is part of the playtesting/balancing team* at Blizzard. Edit: * Designer, I guess.

A thread starts about Blizzard employees who frequent this site, one of them responds, and they receive tidal waves and swears-as-acronyms in return! Some of the folks who were involved in the old-school competitive scene will remember me as an active high-level player. I've been on the SC2 project for the past year or so as a designer. I'm also very interested in acting as a conduit of information from the community to the dev team as the project moves forward...although I make no promises about how actively I'll post here. Also, no screenshots. Sorry.

Also, how much time have you guys spent watching Korean sc matches? As for the rude remarks to your post, it's hard to confirm that you're actually a Blizzard employee rather than a troll. I'm sure none of them would have responded that way had we known for sure.

I played some 2on2s against you on #111 Starcraft channel at Kali back in 99 or 2000, for the old Case's Ladder

i hope you don't let all the flames get to you and take the criticism constructively ... e.g. the siege tank's appearance and sound effects. i'm sure you know how the usual tone on internet forums is.

Feels good to know there's competent people on the job at least =] (although I never really doubted this) Not old school enough to 'remember' you but obsessed enough about starcraft progaming history to know who you are! EDIT: I actually think I remember trying to play a 2v2 with you and NTT in AoX.. but I was on a shitty computer and I lagged :D EDIT2: Hm, might have been Maynard actually, I forget, I'm pretty sure Jamers was in the game tho. Yes, I randomly remembered this and went back to edit a 1 month+ old post on a dead thread!

if the biggest criticism they get is the siege tanks aren't sleek enough, I'd say were in pretty good shape.

Yeah, I remember this complaint about Blizzard from when I used to be actively part of the community. Public relations and publicity stuff is always tough since anything that Blizzard publicly states will be scrutinized to the nth degree. They have to be very sure about any information they do provide. What sorts of things in particular are you hoping to get from our PR people? Understood about the rude remarks, hah. I just forgot how forums work, how people can't be taken at their word due to the anonymous nature of the internet, etc, etc. ;P.
