This group is so polarizing. All great players at one point, but none of them feel particularly dangerous like they once were.

I do think Leenock is being underestimated here; since his Ro.32, he’s lost no two ZvP; a 2-1 against Classic who has finally looked he can win against top Zergs (vs Scarlett, lost to 2-3 to Dark at GSL vs the World, beat Rogue and Dark in NoRegret’s Anonymous Tournament 4, and one set against Zest in the Kung Fu Cup - he’s still shaky against Terran, but he’s not playing against a Terran.

Weird to think that Leenock outlasted Jjakji.

Trap's breaking the Ro16 this time.

Trap will win the group, Zest gets out second

When I'm by a computer I'll define clearer criteria cause this is an interesting discussion. Thanks for the list you provided!

Don't forget MMA. We'll probably have TaeJa back soon as well.
No matter how you define it, Zergs took the biggest loss in Korea: NesTea, DongRaeGu, Curious, Life, ByuL, HyuN, Symbol, viOLet, and even Sniper (lel).
are all gone. It gets even worse if we include post-Kespa Zergs such as RorO,Soulkey and Jaedong

Also I don't find it weird that Leenock is still here and Jjakji isn't. Leenock was young when he peaked and imo he was better than Jjakji for most of his career. Part of the reason why their final together is still considered one of the best in GSL history is that it was a massive upset, Leenock looked way better than Jjakji going into that and continued to be thereafter. It's just that Jjakji played like a god when it counted...still sour about that final ><

To me, the saddest part about that list is that I don't recognise Forte .

Trap and Leenock to advance confirmed. A little sad for herO though
|
This should be a really even group. I just hope herO shows up, if he does he's for sure gonna take first. Zest should be the other player he has strong PvP, Leenock can beat him, his ZvP is his best, but then imo both herO and Trap should beat Leenock, Trap PvZ is strong and herO should be the strongest player here.

Yeah, Jjakji was like 16 or 17 then. He was very young. Not quite as young as Leenock, but close.
