in the gameplay video where the colossus are running away from the blings, one of the colossus has 0 shields, and it remains at 0 until he comes into range of a pylon, then it starts charging pretty fast.
so in sc2, pylons are like moonwells kind of, albeit much slower.
i can't find a part in a video where he just has 1 unit selected away from pylons and is hurt to see if shields regenerate normally. (except for the mothership part, but it regens super fast and is rigged like the guy said)

If (Pylon = moonwell) wtf is shield battery for? Maybe they felt it was too useless so they took it out and incorporated its function into the Pylon?
If Pylon = Shield/Supply/Power all in once. Supply Depots better start being able to lift or self destruct or something.

Hell, I can just as easily say that their shields dont recharge until they stop moving.

I thought that too, but the collosus moves around when hes at the pylon and keeps regening

I don't think so. Blizzard specifically stated that they cheated in the demo.
when those banelings are chasing the last colossus, you can see its shield remains 0 for like 5 seconds, which means toss shields don't charge at all outside pylon power or charge at like 1 point every 10 seconds? fuck no that's gonna be ultraIMBA same goes for the mothership, notice when it releases the blackhole, its shield is drained to 0 and remains so for a couple of seconds and then just starts charging fast like crazy. all these tell me the demo was edited.

What about phase prisms? So are you saying the units I'm warping in are also regening their shields are super fast speed? Sweet.

I really hope they dont do some shit like that. If pylon "range" meant super fast recharging for P it would just create those WC3-like situations where the person defending is always at a huge advantage whether they were prepared for the attack or not.
I guess its not whats happening anyway so im just ranting, but damn I hope they dont put some shit like that in the game: [

If Pylon can regen shield then I hope Supply Depot can regen energy. Itd be like as if the unit went to the storage and grab a new tank or w/e of energy.

maybe if you stand near a vesp gas you can learn the burning immolition ability.

eh, in sc1, if u walk near a shield battery, the shield battery will regenerate the shields for you without having to click on it, so since collossus was within pylon range, a shield battery is very reasonable
