anyways I was just making a point and how I thought that them being similar was really lame. Saying its from the "same culture and draw inspiration..." is no exscuse to me. If you think that we as humans have really thought up all the unique things possible you are wrong. Of course they can make a unit that is unique to SC2. If they want to go with the tripod esque type unit make something about it that is completely unique, hell even the way the damn thing shoots is similar to the other 4-5 tripod type units in movies/games.
How are they similar?
C&C3 Annihilator: 3 legs, tentacles, shoots one beam at a time, beam is energy, organic alien unit
SC2 Colossus: 4 legs, no tentacles, all mechanical robotic unit, beam is thermal, 2 beams continuous fire
Stop whining about SC2 being uncreative. SC2 =/= CnC3. If you still don't like it, don't play it.

I wish people would stop acting like Blizzard has ever done anything crazy original. Blizzard has always been about taking other ideas and polishing them to perfection. You just want them to make unique units for the sake of being unique, which isn't always beneficial to the most important aspect: gameplay.

"mothership looks exactly the same in both games" ROFL... In CnC the "mothership" is some round piece of ugly crap.

Dont be a fucking douche you dumbass. If I dontlike the way a unit looks or hell, if I think it is incredibly similar to a game that recently came out I can still buy or play the game you fucking imbecile. All I am saying is the similarities are lame and the unit lacks originality. But to address the later comment, you are absolutely right, Blizzard jacked War Hammer units 100% for their game and its a bit rediculous I should assume them to change. That was a good point.

In SC2 it has the SAME abilities and looks just as ugly I would contend, a round ugly piece of crap. Regardless, how does me saying that make me a "bad troll." Do you even know what that means?

The CnC3 and the SC2 Mothership doesnt even have similar abilities. The only thing that might resemble eachother is the Planet Cracker and the CnC3 Ships attack since they both shoot beams to the ground, but they dont work the same way at all and i hardly think that CnC3 was first with having a big ship firing a beam to the ground.
Please explain to me in what way they have the same abilities.

No offense, but anyone with a pair of eyes can tell the Annihilator Tripod of CnC3 and the Colossus of Sc2 are similiar.
