This is a fine example where one of you can say 'LOL didn't you RTFM?' No I didn't Will look into this now though. I'd never even heard of a toggle to change how a wheel spins. | ||

You can reassign every button on this mouse (even the DPI buttons) except for the toggle button that controls the wheel functionality. The mouse's wheel can toggle between hyper scroll mode (where you can spin the wheel and it keeps spinning freely) and regular notched scroll mode. The button that toggles this mouse wheel functionality is specifically used for that purpose only. ooops. Sorry amazon! But look at it this way, at least you'll get the sale second time around. It never occoured to me that such a toggle might exist. | ||

--- OK, so my new mouse arrived, I thought I would share a pic with you! The (resent) g502 + Show Spoiler + OK what were you expecting? It looks like every other g502!! Though I still don't see how I missed the scroll wheel spin function button, it's right there!! The DPI change buttons seem easily hit though. but It's simple to change a profile to only have one dpi setting. Doesn't seem to be a way to disable a button however, seems you have to have a button bound to some feature. Though knowing my inability to spot the obvious this may not be the case.. So far, I like it. ps. We wont mention this saga again, ok guys? | ||

but also i don't ever bind anything to mouse wheel in game anyway, too easy to scroll when hitting middle click. also i have a habit of spinning the wheel when im idle so it's all good. | ||

I bought a CM Storm Spawn and I'm trying to give it a shot, but the shape is funky, it slips too easily, and the thumb buttons are placed so far forward that you have to claw grip to use them. I know it's a claw grip mouse, but it was recommended for fingertip grip use as well. I've tried one of the R.A.T. mice, which was a total disaster of a product. I've been looking at Roccat mice, but they all look so similar that I'm having a hard time telling them apart. The Savu seems like it could be what I'm looking for though. The Zowie FK1 could be a contender too. It's too bad the Mico doesn't have a thumb button. | ||

1. Fingertip, don't mind palming larger mice 2. Low, as far as I can tell. I use a basic mouse with no DPI settings or whatever and I'm told by friends that my mouse speed is rather low. 3. $50, won't pay more than this on principle. For a keyboard, sure. Not for a mouse. 4. Don't mind them, don't particularly want them. 2 is fine, any more is a bother. If I can save $10 bucks by knocking them off, I'll take my $10. 5. SC2 and TF2, maybe LoL once SC2 fully dies. I play TF2 at same (low-ish) mouse settings, main sniper anyway. Not going for trickshots, just precision and pretty slow mouse movement. 6. My general philosophy with tech is if I told you to do something, do it. Angle snapping seems pretty minor though so I wouldn't really mind. My main factors are 1. Comfort, and 2. Durability. Give me the best of those two for under $50. Also, I'd prefer that this mouse work on mac. Right now, I'm so close to being sold on the G100s. It's cheap (on sale for ~$20), no frills, DPI is more than adequate, sensor is good, feel is good, size is good. Only problem is that a bunch of people have said left mouse click has failed them after a few months. Past that, I'm up in the air between Steelseries Kinzu v2, Kana, and Sensei RAW. Any suggestions? Please help me at least pick which of the Steelseries mice to pick so that it can be a choice between 2 and not 4. | ||

I think you should also look at the clicks' switches, as you seem to be mainly playing RTS; the mice designed for FPS play, such as the zowie FK, usually have way harder clicks than mice designed for RTS play such as the G302 or the CM Storm Spawn, which kind of sucks for sc2 (I have lower APM when I play sc2 with my FK, just because I can't spam click nearly as much, and it's harder to do marine splits). But in the end, the g100S really fits your criteria; the shape is polyvalent (many CS:GO pros use it, and it fits for fingertip/claw grip too), the other technical aspects are pretty good, and even if you have issues with the clicks, the mouse is 2x cheaper than the others, so you'll be able to replace it a bit sooner in the worst case scenario. Wait for Cyro's advice though, it's much more valuable than mine | ||

G302 seems nice if you like the shape of it. Seems like the only drawback is the stiff cord that comes with it | ||
