I poked around a bit but didn't see this problem on the forum yet. I was just playing a few moments ago, happily laddering away. After placing my expansion hatchery and re hotkeying it, a window pops up asking me to confirm my exit from SC2. A little perplexed, I closed the window thinking I may have just hit a wrong key or something :S
Anyways, a few minutes later, then match intensifies a bit, and the window pops up again, only this time since I am trying to micro/macro and all that, I must have hit the confirm key or button, either way it kicks me out and closes.
A little pissed that I didn't get to finish the game, I go to reopen SC2, and it tells me that its not there anymore. The shortcut is dead. Booting it from the CD asked me only to install the game.
So, verdict? Did I hit some kind of weird string of code that automatically unistalls your SC if you build a certain number of hydralisks and roaches at the same time? Maybe the game just knew that I couldn't win and wanted to save me the next 14 minutes?
Sorry if I missed a thread on this, please direct me there if it already exists.

Do you share your computer? Perhaps someone as a joke bound the shortcut key for the start menu item "Starcraft II - Uninstall" to a hotkey... though most combinations require control+alt.
|
Did it read "you've been pranked" at the end?

Have you checked:
C:\Program Files C:\Program Files(x86)
For any signs of SC2? If you find it you should just be able to make a new shortcut from the StarCraft II executable.
If not then... I can't really explain what happened based on what you said but you'll just have to reinstall it.

...I might check Program Files for SC2...otherwise WTF. That must have been one nice combo of Hydralisks and Roaches...
