I don't get why someone would post a comment like this without posting a recommended source to buy something audio related. I know something you guys don't, but I wont tell you so you can't confirm or deny it!

only downfall to any true noise canceling headsets is the heat over your ears, but if you live somewhere cold, it wont matter edit: they arent bad for music, I listen to rap/dubstep/rock/metal/screamo, everything sounds solid, no staticy sounds and it hits the highs and lows pretty well, but its mostly for noise canceling, so i'm not going to be extremely picky over it

For the Razer Carcharias, I've never tried one myself that much (only tried one in a Best Buy), but imo the sound quality is near or probably the same as the siberia v2. They seem to be hard to broke compare to the steelseries. No tiny screw that might put your headset into 2 pieces. As for the mic, some people had problems with it but the same goes for the steelseries so i can't say much on it. Those are really comfortable too, maybe a little bit less than the v2. If you are able to put more money on it, i would recommend to buy either the Creative Sound Blaster Arena, I've bought one couple of months ago and they are totally awesome for the price. The sound is awesome and sooo loud with some good bass (compared to siberia v2 or the Razer Carcharias) and the mic so far is crystal clear and it's detachable. It has some pretty good noise reduction too if you like that feature. I actually can't understand people talking in my room if I play with these. It is usb and have some "virtual" 3D positional surround sound but some people don't like it or don't want to spend extra money for having those features. Or, you could buy the Corsair HS1 like Phayze said. They are about the same price range as the Sound Blaster Arena and so far, I've only saw some good review for it. Anyhow, if you still wanna choose between the Razer or the Steelseries, i would go with the Razer Carcharias for sure as I've never had good experience with steelseries products (bought wayyy to many of their crap lol) and I can't say 1 negative thing about every razer products I own so far (using mouse and keyboard from them). But to be clear, I've never really try Razer headset to forge myself a solid opinion. ps. srry if I may sound weird sometimes, my english is far from perfect My apologies if some have troubles reading me. I'm trying my best.
