Can someone help me to build a nano file, that automated the update/upgrade process an a debian distribution? That would be kind. I don`t have root (but the rights [sudo] to update/upgrade the virtual server(?) Also; I`m a little worried about the fact that a few of my games installed on a laptop, getting forced to start with the hd4600 instead of the gtx760m. The option to change this setting is greyed out (in-game) and displays the 4600 (nvidia control panel doesn`t apply changes) It`s a fresh installed win 8.1. On the other hand, i can`t imagine that the 4600 can handle skyrim and grey goo as it does at the moment. So i`m somehow sure that it`s just an graphic issue. If i start skyrim via geforce experience, games run a lot smoother, though.

My rig is getting quite old and even though I carefully choose my games in order to avoid disappointment/burning desire to blow 3 months rent on a new PC, the time has come for an upgrade of some sorts. Main components are: Gigabyte EP43-DS3L mobo Q6600 G0 Processor with arctic freezer 13 cooler ATI HD 6770 8gb crucial ballistix sport ram. SSD for windows and games I know that pretty much any modern GPU will get bottlenecked by the CPU at this point, yet I'm inclined to replace the current vga to a low-mid current card like 750ti (i have corsair builder 430cx PSU so any beefier older cards are out of the question). Is this a complete waste of money, or will i get to play some recent games on a reasonable (I'm fine with 720p to be honest as long as fps/detail levels are good) setting? (Eventually I will give in, but not before the arrival of Skylake CPU-s drives the price of 1150 stuff down to a tolerable point)

Intel doesn't lower their prices, the only lga1150 prices that will drop with skylake launch will be used stuff

stock Q6600 goes up to like 130 or so running benchmarks on all core iirc

~but then again a 960 when not overvolted uses like less than 100w. A 960 is only about 1/3'rd of a Titan X which will probably ship with ~250w TDP lol

edit: Then again, a decent card now might save me the pain of upgrading again when I change all the other stuff...

though it would probably be 5GB or 5.5GB (6GB on the card, 12 blocks of L2 with 1 or 2 of them disabled) Fully enabled gm200 with rumored specs would be 1.5x faster than 980 if you match clock speeds. If they cut it down at all, the gap between 980 and the "1080" wouldn't be that big. They could do like 30-40% at OC performance gap quite easily, but "stock" benchmarks will always favor the smaller GPU's because they're clocked relatively higher, but lose that advantage at OC. 980 hits 250w at 1.25v. gm200 being 1.5x everything would hit like 350w under the same volts, but they're just gonna ship it at like 1.06v and call it a 225w tdp :D :D I really wanna see AMD response though. They're weeks away from Nvidia's flagship being a good 60-80% faster than anything they have on the field at any price point.

They do seem to have something and who would be surprised if it has 4GB of HBM at this point but really we can't say much. Any new die would have all of the Tonga improvements though. ~30-40% gains to effective memory bandwidth through color compression and such.

As you can see, the font for regular messages are fine, but whenever something gets quoted the font looks really weird. And the side bars all have the same weird font as well. Not sure what's going on here since I didn't touch anything nor install any kind of extension. R1CH suggested zooming out so I tried that and I noticed that quoted messages and the side bar thread titles all fixed themselves at 110% but then the regular messages looked too big after that. So how do I get my side bar/quoted posts looking 110% but at the same time make regular font look like 100%? R1CH then asked me if I somehow changed my windows display settings DPI scaling, but I have no idea what that is or how I would even do that.

Maybe you're missing a font or failing to receive it from TL (assuming it's being sent as a resource). To me it doesn't look like a size issue, but rather the font isn't the standard one TL uses. It might be simply using a fallback font if the primary one the site wants isn't available.

I was worried that if you were to copy 1 TB of data it would take too long. Also, I don't know if RAID arrays are still a thing (I have no experience with that anyhow), and I was thinking that might add electricity and performance costs if you install another hard drive (don't know if my PSU can handle that).

It seems the main difference between quoted text between us is the line spacing (the gap between each line). Yours seems to have bigger spacing. Thinking more on it, I don't really think it's a case of a font missing from your PC, but it's also not really coming to me what the difference is - it's hard to tell without examining the dev console (browser "debugger") between two machines. I deal more with functionality development than website appearance, so this is somewhat outside of my area of expertise. Maybe something in website feedback could help you more.
