if you want to test temps under a real load, you can download Cinebench r15 and run it, that's quite easy and it gives you a performance number that's very exact and shows CPU performance or any throttling etc, as well as realistic temperatures from CPU at load

(The cpu test right?) EDIT : Test result is 153 CB. Not sure what it means! Open GL test resulted in 31.39 FPS

the CB is for CPU performance. I get 952 with a 4770k@4.6ghz. You'd mainly want to use it to check CPU temperatures at 100% load, running it ~1-3 times. You can see what clock speeds the CPU is staying at too during that time, with a program like hwinfo (www.hwinfo.com) 153 seems rather low - my CPU shouldn't be 6.22x faster than yours with the same core count

Does it means that my Internet speed is faster (donwloading datas etc)? Is -20dbm difference a noticeable thing except level signal (in order to avoid connection losses)? I cant test because I need to buy an USB extension cable. I can confirm that my laptop and 2nd smartphone has only connection at that -65dbm place. but I am asking about download speed (sc2 or diablo3 updates mostly are >300mb datas etc).

Usually the slowest link is that between your modem and the outside (i.e. whatever speed you're getting from your ISP), but -85 dBm is bad enough to matter and cause a bottleneck on the faster residential lines, probably. Even more so if you live in a densely populated area with plenty of networks eating up air time and/or causing interference—seemingly not that likely if you have both a cellar and attic, but you never know. Rather than guess at what might be going on, the obvious and relevant thing to check would be the data rates you get on your computer out to the rest of the world vs. your phone when near the router (speedtest.net or similar should work). That's ultimately what you're interested in: whether or not the subpar link between the computer and router all the way through floors is a bottleneck or not.

The "better" place (-65 dbm) has apparently 3,84mbps and signal level is +40% better, no matter of the orientation of the antenna. I think my smarthone cant use the full speed of my DSL internet (advertised 6mbps). Shockingly if my smartphone is 1m away from router (-30 dbm), it has only 3,90mbps. My Smartphone at PC shows ~5 more wireless networks besides my own, some are on same network channel, some have stronger signal level than mine. At that "better" place, only me. Looks like the barrier to all other is great there. Edit: All speed measures tested with my smartphone. I did one speed test with my PC right now (-85dbm place), 3990kbit/s. I guess my smartphone cant handle with high internet speed. Edit2: finally cable extention connected, signal level increased from 36% to 52% (data rate increased from 27-40mbps to 54-81mbps) but download/upload speed (speedtest) unchanged at 3,95mbps. I think it was worth.

I run Ubuntu and some games like dragon age Inquisition are just a pain to get running. Would it be worth it to do a dual partition with windows 8.1? (Note I have a legit copy of 8.1 and not 7 to install)

I don't see any reason not to give W8.1 a try and see if your games fare better when you already have the license available. Worst case you can just get rid of it and reclaim the partition.

The difference in speed should be minor - the overall throughput should be the same provided both devices can wirelessly transmit the full capacity and the latency penalty I'd estimate to be ~1-3ms. Naturally signal loss / interference will play a role in how well they perform.

I'm saying this because after I signed up for the lecture, the organism "added me to their circles" on google+, which is a bit creepy. Is there a way to disconnect google+ from my gmail, or disconnect youtube from google+ at least? Or hell, I'd close Google+ entirely if I god damn could... Note: I tried to untie YT from G+ and it wouldn't let me because there's apparently a copyright infringement strike on my YT acct.

You'll probably have better luck in the programming thread or on stackoverflow.

You can get a bigger/better monitor with a desktop (at similar prices, assuming you build desktop yourself). Other than that I don't think there is a reason. What can be?
