Hello Everyone I have a problem that needs some help.
I am currently for a 3 month visit to China and of course even here i want to watch some SC2. Now the problem is that Twitch/justin TV seems to be very blocked here so it doesnt even let me go to their page to ask for support xd. I tried to find some way to proxy but whenever i tried to search it on google it also gets blocked lol!!@!@! xd
Is there anyway for me to still watch twitch/justin tv and go around the block or am i doomed and cant watch any streams for 3 months? Help please :D.

Ehrm, this is China were talking about, right? Because it seems weird you weren't expecting this...
|
Please stop giving me some weird response that isn't helping me for a bit. Does it even matter if i knew about it or not.

Try GomTV. Other than that, you're probably SOL.
China is kind of -known- for blocking access to media from the West. Twitch/justin.tv is more or less media from the West.

buy vpn subscription maybe?

I am not sure this belongs in tec support, overthrowing a government and putting in a free democratic one to allow free speech and the freedom of information and the freedon of internet is far beyond the capabilities of this forum.

Just use a decent VPN. Only costs 10$ per month. And you're lucky that you're here for 3 months as most VPN suppliers offer a nice 3 months deal.
|
Yeah, vpn is probably your best bet. Some can really throttle your internet though so make sure you get one with decent speeds.
This one is 3 euros a month: http://www.vpninchina.com/
Can't vouch for it though so do some research first. Unless they have blocked those sites as well lol.

Doing it all day long !
Bitwise Tunnelier on Windows and any kind of ssh -N -D on GNU/Linux (MacOS also probably). FoxyProxy in Firefox and you're good to go.
As a side note, you may use Bing instead of Google during your stay in China, you'll avoid 404 every other request.

i would rather bother about the damn poor connectivity in china. I was 2 months myself in china and i could only watch streams from like 3am to 5am even the super low quality ones.
Just get a VPN Service. I can help you with a temporary vpn in the asia region (tokio) that might have a good connectivity to china and the rest of the world. just pm me.

Hey dude, I have the same exact problem. Just got to China for a year. I just bought a vpn service but it is way to slow (despite internet reviews to the contrary, thought they were about 4 months old). Anyway if you found something that works for you I'd appreciate the info.
Oh and, did you buy a CN copy of sc2? the battlenet.cn is seems to be a no go for me as I don't read chinese characters.

hem hem. hotspotshield. google it ^^
you should then be able to watch twitch.tv, youtube and even go on fb.
this is very standard proxying

Thank you guys for the help. Im still searching a way to get excess im now trying out a few stuff you guys recommended nd hotspotshield gets blocked in china ^^ also i think my speed here is pretty reasonable around 250kbs so its good enough for a mid quality to high stream.
