Unfortunately, due to the way that windows 8 handles multitasking between metro apps (dragging other running "apps" in from the left), I can't seem to scroll left while playing a game. I've done alot of googling, and it seems that other games don't seem to have this problem, and that people have been successfully running SC without this problem, so I'm trying to identify the source. This happens in fullscreen and fullscreen (windowed) mode, because the mouse has to go all the way to the left in order to start the scrolling, and these are the only ways I like to play. Thanks for any and all help!

It's alpha quality at best, this exists solely so developers can build and test their applications on it. It's not recommended for consumers at all.

I'm not using it as my primary OS, but it is nice to not have to reboot everytime I play SC, especially because performance is better here than in 7 for me cus of no background programs. Oh! And HAIL R1CH! I feel so honored to have you in one of my threads XD. Thanks for all the awesome work you do for the community!

Not playing on a virtual box and also playing in Fullscreen. Not sure if that helps anyone but just letting you know that it does work.

If anyone can ever find a solution that doesn't require a res change, please PM me! In ra(y's solution he says to change the res back to whatever you feel like

At first noticed it visualy, after i benchmarked with fraps, replay scene with high ling count, 3 minutes test lenght. Win7 Ultimate ~ 34.3fps Win8 CP ~ 41 fps , which is about 20% better result. Test system is laptop Acer aspire 5750zg (Intel P. B940, gf 540m, 6GB RAM). Can anyone else confirm better performance in windows 8?

Maybe its because you have less things clogging your memory and cpu since its a newly installed OS, or have you tried it on a fresh Win7 as well? I'm curious to see if Win8 increases performance.

I did not encounter these scrolling problems ImmortalTofu had when running my Starcraft II in full screen on Windows 8. I had my Starcraft II installed on Windows 7 and copied to Windows 8 like described in Transferring Starcraft 2 to a new computer.

This thread is over a year old... obviously Windows 8 will have fewer problems than the alpha...
