Since it is throwing a DNS error: I would start with turning off windows firewall, ensuring there isn't a proxy set, and issuing the following command and at an administrator level command prompt "ipconfig /flushdns"

IF that fails, you probably have a static DNS set on the router itself that may need to be changed. Better yet, do an ipconfig and paste the text here.

Log into your router by going to your own IP (if it's not what Grimmyman posted go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ and just copy-paste), the username and password will most likely be admin and password, respectively, but just check the documentation that came with your router. There will a 'security settings' section for the vast majority of routers, and alter the security settings. It is most likely to be WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK as default, so alter the encryption to WEP (only using Key 1 as your password) and remember to change the SSID (just put a '1' at the end of it if you don't want to change it too much). This could easily be the cause of your problem, and it will take less than 10 minutes so it's worthwhile doing.
