hey Guys,
I want to stream dota2, and didnt stream for I while. I tried to use xsplit but it never worked. So I used a diffrent programm with 10 free streams, dont remember the name. Now i want to stream with xsplit, but I can not start it nor delete it because it says that the programm is in use. Restarting and even a eraser couldnt solve that.
Can you help me ?
thanx

Open up task-manager and close the program manually (right-click). Not sure how restarting doesn't prevent this O_O

there is no task.... it should be named "xsplit" or sth ... there is none..

ever tried restarting your computer?

This is a bug I've experienced a lot with xsplit. The process gets stuck in some kind of in-escapeable black hole that it can't exit from. Even if you try to close it from task manager it won't work. And if you try to restart your PC you will be stuck on "shutting down" and never actually be able to shut down because the process is still stuck.
It might also be my logitech webcam that's causing it. I'm using it together with xsplit and it has terribly unstable drivers that have locked up on me exactly like that before.
Either way, none of that solves your problem. Sorry.

I really dont think this has anything to do with Xsplit. As you say the xsplit process isnt active in task manager so its more likely that the Windows indexing is working in the directory. (Saving files in memory for faster access). So basicly after closing xsplit and waiting 1 minute or so it should be ready for delete.
But deleting manually isnt adviced either, uninstall properly so you can remove the registry entries as well.

i cant even start it, didnt even start it. And I can restart / reboot easily. Everything else is fine

Run your computer in safemode. You can probably delete it this way, then reinstall it.

Its working know, manually deleted all files, except of .dlls which could not be deleted, then reinstalled and it worked. thank you guys :D
