The FIX: Get a VPN service. Yeah, unfortunately you're going to have to shell out a couple more bucks a month, but when the alternative is using a crappy isp or watching at 240, its not too bad. I don't know if I'm allowed to post specific VPN sites according to forum rules, but you guys can easily search up a credible/reliable one. Or send me a PM and I'll tell you exactly what I use. And it totally works! I can watch multiple 1080p at peak hours no problem. glhf!

EDIT: So I am paying for 20 down and 2 up - My Speedtest says i am getting 10.7 down and 1.8 up - Heard other problems from other people about Time Warner Throttling YouTube as well, which I could see because my YouTube is usually just like my twitch. But as of right now when I tested it ( 11pm ) it can run HD. Wierd. But, even though YouTube is magically better, Twitch still runs like poop. Any ideas? Thanks guys Also, I have been lagging a lot in sc2 as well and my ping is 33ms Thanks

I cannot watch Twitch decently at even 240p, and I am paying for the 20 download and 2 upload. In order to have some data to compare, i checked Dragon's stream which has no lag for me personally at 1080p. His stream goes through a San Francisco server. I reach out for another stream. This time the german WCS stream on 1080p which again comes without lag. This time data goes through Oklahoma. I test the russian stream at 1080p: again no lag. This time the server location is Kansas again. French stream at 720+ (San Francisco server location) and no lag. Personally, I'm having a difficulty in understanding where the issues are: 1st: Doesn't twitch offer any EU streaming servers? 2nd: Why do streams of european streamers NOT lag opposed to US streamers even though data is going through the same servers. (In this case we have comparable data from the official WCS streams) Is anyone able to elaborate on these issues?

So we will have to wait 1-2 months until the new data centers will provide more resources for the EU infrastructure.

There's no evidence that blocking these ranges will help twitch streams from my end either. I'm perplexed that there are still reports that this method is helping people with twitch. As other users have already reported, the recent AMA with Emmett cleared up questions about the connection between twitch.tv lag and TWC. It is my hope that with enough agro from TWC customers TWC may yet reach out and peer with twitch so that we can use twitch.tv once again. I've written a quick post, with applicable copy pasta included, on the quickest ways to reach TWC and hopefully get their cooperation on the matter. In short, twitter, facebook, and their feedback forms are all corporate monitored and are great places to vent your frustrations on the matter. @TWC_Help - twitter https://www.facebook.com/twc - facebook http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/residential-home/support/contact-us.html - Contact form I'd like to apologize for bringing any false hope to this thread that came with my own excitement of finding what I thought was a sure fix. Blocking the IPs is still a well known and appreciated work around for youtube lag though! Definitely consider taking the time to contact TWC and ask them to cooperate. <3TL
