I live in an area where one street to the left, I can get 5-10 mb upload for the same price, or one street to the right I can get 10-15mb upload for slightly more expensive. But of course here on my street, I'm stuck with what I got without DOUBLING my payments for 5 mb upload

Granted my download is much better than yours (3x better actually) but I don't know how much impact download has on streaming.

http://www.twitch.tv/rexxyc/b/337253313 This is OBS doing 720p/60fps. Runs very smooth but it has that dark, blurry look compared to when I used FFSplit which was 1080/30fps: http://www.twitch.tv/rexxyc/b/324732727 I'm at work right now so I can't post my stream settings but I think it's a Very Fast and quality of 8. I'm running a 3770k/HD7850. My upload is around 3.5 Mb/s.

If you are talking about the blur that happens when you move screens that might be upload related but its honestly not very prominent.

Windows 8 does not play well with streaming software. FFsplit would not encode above 25 FPS in Windows 8 and I could not get OBS to even detect an image in Windows 8. Similar problems arise when you use Aero in Windows 7, so I assume the problem is linked to whatever new version of Aero or whatever they're calling it is causing the problems.

Yes, it wouldn't surprise me if this was the problem. I just don't know how to disable the new equivalent of Aero or whatever. :D
