What do you mean by doesn't look as good? FPS? Quality in motion? I mean there's not much to adjust. If you're fullscreening, 1280x720 looks terrible compared to 1920x1080, because there's 2.25x as many pixels in the latter, but you need a ton more data to match the quality of a lower resolution stream in motion scenes with those
Can you put up ingame FPS display while streaming also?
It looked really stuttery before, but not now
i feel it doesnt look smooth, gonna stream now post link to video with fps displayed ~ would my stream look better with 1080p no downsample and 30fps?

I have a certain problem when I stream. The audio from my microphone (Desktop USB Microphone) is out of sync. The game sounds and video are aligned but when I commentate or speak the audio from the mic is out of sync. So if something happens and I make a comment about it you won't hear the comment until a bit later when the moment has already passed. Has anyone had this issue before? Or does anyone know how to potentially fix it?

Looks perfectly smooth to me
higher resolution and lower fps is a tradeoff, some people like it, some don't

Fair usage policy and stuff.
I have no idea whether that applies to you, just throwing a heads up just in case ^^
Edit: I'd also love to hear out what happens, it would be incredible if you could get a decent quality stream going!

Wow, i've hit 300gb in a month before with 7 down. That was a bit excessive (multiple tournaments, ALL OF THE STREAMS ) but 70gb for 50mbit down kinda hurts.. You can literally hit that in 1/60'th of the month

Hmm comcast home is limited to 250gb a month. jackasses guess ill torrent all the stuff i want from my current place before i move next week XD
phone works pretty well to be honest, i dont torrent with it, just streaming and watching some streams

I'm upgrading to 12/1.5 later this week and I would like to know how well that works. Also, are you able to watch HD streams with no problem? I've been stuck with 3/.3 for the last couple of years and I can't wait to enjoy all the perks having better internet provides. Thanks!

My internet is shit, i said 7mbit download
It's like 0.7 up, cant give more than 500 video bitrate, and you need to throw 3000-4500 for a top tier high resolution and FPS stream
It's just, 250gb is not a lot of data. With an 8mbit download connection, if you max it out, you're talking 3600MB per hour (3.52GB) so that means if you assume a 30 day month, you only have to max an 8mbit connection for less than 8.5% of the time to total 300gb. With MLG weekend for example i'd just run four or five streams across 2 screens (At one point they had a stream for each players vision side by side, for example) and you could get like 50-100GB of data in 3 days just from doing that, np
I used to be able to watch streams (as described) but i can't for a long time now, hard to say how long, since some point in HOTS beta i think. I'm lucky to find a 360p transcode that doesn't stutter and freeze 20-80% of the time depending on how much twitch hates everyone at that particular hour and day, but that seems to be true regardless of internet connection, i couldn't watch it on my friends 100mbit down either when i was in england for a week recently, for most of the time

Looks like I will have a little better time than you watching streams, depending on how much twitch hates me and everybody else on the planet. I also won't have 4-5 streams open at a time so things look promising. Currently, I have to watch most streams at like 240p and hope it doesn't lag during the big battles. Looks like my streaming hopes will also be a bit better as I should (hopefully) have around double your upload, depending on how my ISP fares. Thanks! :D

I want to start streaming but my computer isn't really up to par with the high quality streamers. Thus, I'm willing to lower down my stream resolution so it can run smoother. Can someone recommend me settings for a computer with the following specs: - Intel Core i5 3210m @2.5 GHz - Radeon Graphics card - 5mbps internet - 8GB RAM - 64 bit-operating system Thank you, very much appreciated

Anyone know how to isolate audio? I want to have Skype chat open with my friends, but don't want my stream to have that audio; just game audio.

Goodness gracious that looks like a lot of stuff. Is there a tutorial for these things?
I'll give it a try, but I dunno...

A simpler setup could be an additional sound card connected to your existing sound card with a 3.5mm cable, presuming that your current sound card has a line in port.

If you have a USB headset that would work the same way. Run skype sound to the headset and everything else to your sound card / speakers to be picked up by obs - to hear both without speakers you could use earbuds inside the headset or at least in 1 ear

Updating from the bugged 0.553 to 0.554b, do I need to do anything other than just download the 554b installer and installing it on top of my old install? Or do I need to clean up the old install first by uninstalling or something?

Hey guys, need some advice here; Just bought some new parts for my PC, basically upgraded everything. So now I got: i5 4670k @ 3.40GHz MSI Gaming G-45 Gaming Z87 Kingston HyperX 2x4GB @ 1666MHz Cooler Master 650W Asus HD 7870
I have about 8Mb upload rate. What would be the best settings possible for this setup?

Anyone know if there's a way to support HTML in text sources (or a separate text plugin that will do HTML)?

For some reason the Twitch dashboard tells me from time to time that my keyframe settings are 2.208 when it's set to 2 sec in the settings per its request. Bug in OBS, or twitch's dashboard?
