Hi, I'm having a bizarre issue that currently has me majorly stumped.
Basically I'm trying to get active in playing the zotac cups again for SC2, however there is one issue. The website will not load on my desktop. At all, it just sits there with a blank page and never loads. Now here is the fun part, using the same connection, my phone can have the website load, and my laptop can also load it. My laptop can also ping the site and get a response. While my desktop gives a request timed out. Yet its only my desktop that has this issue.
site: http://www.zotac-cup.com/en/start
I've tried google searching and cant seem to find any solution or reasoning why this is happening. Other info, im on windows 7, nothing appears to be blocked anywhere, firewall, router, etc. I'm just entirely lost on what could be causing this.

are you using the same type of browsers? (try different browsers anyway)

not that I'm aware, dont have adblock installed.
hmm update, everything seems to get stuck on my desktop at cdn1.gamesports.net It just shows waiting at the bottom of the browser here. and actually anything on the same network as zotac is also inaccessible to my desktop. as far as im aware its still an issue with the desktop I'm using as it works for other people and is up from other places.

did you had to install something from Zotac?; like an app/toolbar or something ...

no, all of the sc2 tournaments/hearthstone were done from the cup website.

haha well no one touches my desktop ever but me.
tracert comes back fine no issues, no loss, nothing... everything seems normal matches the other devices that ive borrowed that can load fine to see if i can fix this.. however if i run a ping it gives all request timed out. which is the only difference i can find between them.
also on a side note, ive tried formatting and reinstalling windows, no dice..
also have noticed a few other sites not working. going to try a different network card here in a bit.
update, different network card works. now the question is why? have not heard of an issue like this ever lol... usually hardware just doesnt work altogether if its broke -.-

your IP/MAC was blocked on purpose.
you hacked, you got a ban, you had addiction issues and your parents talked with your ISP ... take your pick.

Could be ISP-related. I have this issue occur about once every few months for a week at a time. I just straight up lose access to certain sites, as in I cannot access them, pinging them returns nothing, and traces fail. Apparently it is to do with failing infrastructure on the ISP's end. I tried literally everything and could not fix it. I had to wait on them.
For me, for example, for around a week just this past August, I could not reach either Ars Technica, or anything related to Ubuntu. The former wasn't a big deal (I do post on their forums but I am in good standings so it isn't like they IP blocked me.), but the latter was. I just straight up could not get updates on my Ubuntu machine. I ended up having to VPN to a different location to do so. My ISP was even flumoxed when we called them. Eventually both sites suddenly just started becoming accessable again one day. It was very odd.

MAC's at only used in routing/switching between two networking devices and change after each "hop"; the zotac servers don't the the ability to know the MAC address of any of the OPs equipment, including his router. His laptop and phone would use the same public IP address his ISP provides and therefore should have the exact same accessibility as his desktop. Can't be his IP or MAC.
I doubt it's ISP related at all. I don't know how to explain a NIC not allow access to a certain site though as I'm more of a networking-oriented person.
Still good to see that it's working now though. I would have expected a reformat and reinstall to fix it though, really weird...
