For some reason, my laptop will randomly freeze up and I wont be able to click on anything (desktop icons, youtube icons, switch tabs) other than the active window (but even then i can click on certain things) before unfreezing. This process can take at least a minute to do.
This is especially problematic as it wont let me close windows unless forcibly from taskbar.
Ctrl+alt+del and sending it to taskbar let's me click things around again for a short while but temporarily...
The cursor sometimes goes crazy and it'll double click things when I single click them, and switch to scroll mode although I havent prompted it to.
The mouse is a year old logitech g500 mouse. I tried updating the drivers and unplugging the mouse entirely but the problem persists (its not the mouse)
I have tried system restore but it gives me error and wont let me go back to a safe state.
"System restore failed while scanning the file system on the drive C:\
The drive might be corrupt. You might want to retry System Restore after running chkdsk /R on this disk. An unspecified error occurred during System Restore (0x80070571)"
I have run:
I have run a full virus/malware scan with 0 results (clean)
ccleaner and cleaned registries.
I have run SFC scan and it came out with no errors.
I have run chkdsk and it also came out with no errors.
It's finals for me right now and my laptop is only 3 months old.
I need my computer functioning fully so please help!
Edit:Booted my computer on safe mode.
Same thing occurs...
