In general SC2 runs fine on my system. I do have a strange problem when the game crashes right at the very start of a ladder game from time to time. It's very specific - it happens right when the initial group of workers is heading to their mineral patches, the game freezes and becomes unresponsive.
It does seem that when this happens there is sometimes a "run" where it is more likely to happen, and closing out both SC2 and the Batttlenet client and restarting seems to make it better.
If the game gets started successfully then there are rarely any issues even in a long macro game with lots of units and action. It does start fine the huge majority of the time, but when it has a problem it's right at the start.
Does anyone have any insight into what might cause this, or has anyone had a similar issue?
My system:

same here. But it can happen in the middle of the game as well. Fucking blizzard imbeciles.

I'm starting to get this more frequently now.

Have you tried repairing / re-intalling your sc2? There could be a problem with your data files that's causing it to crash.

Actually it started for me again yesterday. What helped sofar was optimizing sc2 with the nvidia-experience software and then resetting all changes. Before, I had like 5 crashes in a row, after that none at all in 10 more games. @pursuit: It does not seem to have anything to do with corrupted sc2 files; when I had the problem earlier, I tried reinstalling which didn't really help for long. I wonder if anyone with an AMD card has the same problem ...
