Somehow the audio jack for my headphone cord broke off inside the speaker plug
like, deep in there. I have tried everything to get it out, save taking the mobo apart (it has a stupid protector thing over it so I can't get into the speaker plug to push it out or anything).
i *really* would prefer not to have to do this, because I am busy and it will be a giant pain in the ass
I even tried shoving rolled up, melted tape in there, and letting it harden against the broken jack tip. it did harden in there and was a pain to pull out, but unfortunately did not pull out the jack with it
I would even be willing to use my rear or front speaker on my PC if it is somehow possible to make all audio play out of that. Is that something that is possible?
thanks

ok, I can't figure out how to do it
I set audio to play through rear and front in separate simultaneous streams in realtek, but it still doesn't play anything through headphones when I plug them in to the rear speaker plug
the headphones work when the rear speakers are specifically tested in the surround sound screen in realtek's audio manager, but anything else seems to still only be sent to the front speakers that have the audio jack broke off in it...
edit: GOT IT TO WORK. lol. had to edit the registry

If you're feeling drastic, you could drill the jack out with a very small drill bit, obviously taking great care not to drill through anything else in the process

This happened to me once. I solved it by straightening out a paper clip, dabbing the end with some krazy glue, and sticking it in there. After it set I pulled out the tip. Be careful not to get any glue on the sides of the jack though, or else you'll end up with even more problems
