I had a read through the stream troubleshooting threads and also the simple questions simple answers and I don't feel either particularly suits my problem so I have decided to make this thread. Terribly sorry if I have made the wrong choice, feel free to bash me :D.
I recently started streaming BW on OBS, quality is fine etc. My issue is that when I log on and arrive at the lobby e.g. D-C channel, my window capture goes black on stream and in the OBS preview. When I enter a game lobby however, it returns to normal.
When it is black, my cursor is still visible and you can still hear the sound of me pressing buttons on the stream.
I have tried changing to different sources like game capture (obviously doesn't work) and source capture (which is impractical). My friends who stream BW have the same settings as me yet do not have any issues.
Anybody know what the problem is or how to resolve it?
NOTE: I am running in window mode, trying both with the iCCup launcher and the mca64 launcher. I haven't tried with the Fish launcher but I am sure the same problem would occur.
Thanks very much for reading! <3

Yeah, Broodwar does weird things where it uses different executables or something for the channels and the actual game, etc.
On ShieldBattery you wont have this issue and you can comfortably use Window capture of the Starcraft.exe. On iccup what I do (in windowed mode) is just screen capture the specific area of where the game window is. If you use that 2x feature in game, then your channel window is small. So what you can do is have two separate scenes one that captures the 2x window and one that captures the channel window, and just set up a macro key for switching between the two scenes. Doing an automatic scene switcher is kind of weird since it's still running starcraft.exe, so it's difficult to find something to cause it to activate.

Hey Hype2,
Quick question, how did you stream BW on OBS? I'm trying to figure this out as I want to stream BW and potentially do some English commentaries. Figuring out the easiest/best method even if it's not the best and since I use OBS only for my Twitch channel due to some pre-settings I made on OBS.
Thanks!
