This is going to be More than 2x as big. Granted, not all of the attendees are going to compete in the SC2 tourney, But there are still 183 People signed up as of now!

Apparently the SC2 tourney starts at 1 AM. EXCITED

How was Nerdapalooza? I couldn't make it so I am curious about your experience...

IMO I think that the tourny should have started sooner. And some of the decisions were iffy, overall it was fun.

I felt that the LAN wasn't very well conceived. They needed their events to begin sooner to keep people's interest and the whole "cash-in, cash-out" thing was a huge bummer.

The tournament was complete shit. sorry. I loved meeting all the guys that play being my first time playing with the Utah scene.
It started to damn late. My computer lost power twice and the internet shit on me once. I didnt lose the games but I lost the time to even make some damn points to play.
I dont think the host took into consideration that some games took over 45 mins. just my last game with looke took at least that long and with all the power outs, it messed everything up for everyone.
in the 6 hours of being there, i literally only played 6 games. And 4 of those werent more than 12 minute games.

Ok trying to get a Salt Lake Barcraft going for NEXT MLG. I will be doing the leg work, but I need to know who would go if we did this. Please let me know. It will be down town SLC (I think) Maybe Draper/Sandy area. I will be posting details.

What day exactly? Just Sunday for the finals? I don't really drink much so I don't know if I'd go or not I'd see if some friends would go just for the fun of it. Hahaha how about BarCraft @ The Pie! Mmmm I love the pie.
|
Its going to be for Orlando or Providence. Thinking about this a little more Orlando is Oct 14-16. Didn't we have a big Utah LAN thing that weekend?
|
i would go to a barcraft.....if you dont have to be 21 at least lol
|
I'm fairly limited to downtown/Sugar House area, or outside that something really light-rail accessible, but I'd love to come to a Barcraft and have a few.
|
I honestly think Barcraft at somewhere not a bar (like The Pie or something similar) would be the best choice, because they still have beers and what not, but it would also allow people under 21 to enjoy the event. Pizza, beer, friends, SC2 on TVs.... what's not to love?

Would love to do a Barcraft at a bar

I will look into the Pie as well. I think that would be the best seeing how we can then get people under 21 in there. So I will be working on this over the next month, on my days off.

Are we talking like a buy in or something? Paying just to be there to watch? Or paying for drinks/food?
|
Paying to watch
Edit: This is only IF we have too
|
Zero dollars, to be honest. I'm happy to drop like $20 on food and drinks, but sports bars aren't supposed to have covers.
