ONOG will be giving away Tribes Ascend Stuff, HoN Coins, Razer Products, and free coaching lessons from EG Incontrol and ItsGosu Pokebunny!
Additionally: This particular BarCraft is going to be a blowout bash, with all three floors showing the Arena on over 40 TVs. MLG staff will be on hand to provide you with special swag and contests. And who knows? Some of the pros might just show up to hang out and sign autographs.
•MLG shirts, given away throughout the weekend •Drink specials: Terran, Protoss and Zerg specific, as well as beer specials •Photos and video from the Event might even make their way onto the Arena streams- live!
Tell everyone you know! Spread the word! Huge turnouts are what will keep this phenomenon going and make more of these events happen in the future. Don't be afraid to invite non-gamers to this. Everyone likes beer and excitement! Proceeds from this barcraft will go into funding future ONOG Invitationals as well as other local eSports events.
Competitive video game competitions (electronic sports or "eSports") is an exciting, quickly growing phenomenon. Leagues featuring prize pools of $100,000 or even more are springing up across the globe. Major League Gaming (MLG), the North American Star League (NASL), the Global Starcraft II League (GSL), Intel Extreme Masters (IEM), Dreamhack, and countless others stream live tournaments of the most popular video games between the best players worldwide. Announcers call the fast-paced action live as it happens. Now you can enjoy eSports and all the gaming action on the big screens at sports bars in a city near you. Come out and enjoy the gaming action, food, and perhaps Zerg rush a few beers. If you're new to gaming, come see why the Wall Street Journal has called eSports the, “newest barroom spectator sport.”
Don't forget to tune in to ONOG Invitational this weekend starting Sat, Jan 28 18:00 GMT (+00:00) Featuring Stephano, Kas, Destiny, and 13 other top players battling for $3,000, funded by barcrafts like this one!

It's the MLG Studio on 33rd and Park I believe, but there are no spectators allowed. I wonder if we could get players to come by - 10 min walk assuming they're using their normal studio.

Sundance said there will be at least a Fan meet and greet for the Winter invitational. So yeah, hopefully they can consider the barcraft
I know I'm going to sound stupid but what do you do at Barcrafts? Do you guys watch SC2 games on the television at the bar? I'm not joking, I don't know how this works but I would love to attend!!

Yes, that is exactly what we do. Basically you get together to drink and watch SC2 in an environment that you, and this is the important part, do not have to do the dishes in.

Highly recommend Legends to anybody interested in a Barcraft and in the NYC area. Top notch place. Last event I attended there was for MLG Orlando and I was fortunate enough to meet a few guys from Dignitas, both in the LoL and SC2 divisions who performed at IEM earlier that day. As for the guy that asked what you do at Barcrafts, you'd be surprised how much fun it is to fill a room with like minded nerds watching SC2, especially when alcohol is in the mix.
Forgot I'm going to a Rangers @ Islanders game that night, and it's my girlfriend's birthday weekend. Probably going to miss all of the tournament too.
First Barcraft for me, too. My brother lives in the city, and said his friend knows the owner of the bar. So now I'm really looking forward to it! Should be awesome, hopefully we get some love from MLG. Thanks to ONOG for putting this together.
If you guys are into progressive trance music, Markus Schulz will be at Pacha Friday night (24th)...I'll be hittin that show up and barcraftin the day after.

Alesso is also hitting up Pacha the 25th, which is real show you should go to
But it's 19+ and i'm only 18, which is so lame, because Bingo Players, my favorite group is also playing that week. Zzz.
Anyways, didn't mean to derail. Does anybody know pricing and all for food and other stuff?
Is there anyone in the NYC area that could host an 18 and 21 year old person to sleep over Friday to Saturday (and maybe Saturday to Sunday)? We're coming from New Haven, CT so it'd be great to not have to travel each day.

I might have said yes if there weren't already two guests staying in the house atm. Hope you guys can make it work!

Pretty much. You have to understand, though, just us getting the age limit to 18 at essentially a bar in NYC is still a bit surprising to me. NYC is pretty strict about the law in that section.

I'm definitely going to be there, especially since this is the only officially sponsored way to attend "live". Hoping for a player meetup while everyone is in town, maybe?!!?

I second that Pokebunny. Nothing like a consolation beer after a tough loss!!

If you come early and stay away from the bar they won't have the problem. But if you behave in a way that would threaten their liquor license they will quick you out quite quickly.
Hey guys, here is an update on all the stuff that will be given away:

All three floors? all three days? that's insanely awesome.

Ignoring how silly the format you're suggesting is, I'd like to ask; is there any particular reason? I can tell you offhand that the vast majority of people going will be within 3 years of age of you. In fact, I have a hard time coming up too many people who aren't in the entire NYC scene.
The format is quite useful if there are more than 5 people that answers as oppose to random people saying that they are 21+ y/o with one liners. I would like to have an estimate on how many people will be showing up that are 21+.

ya because a majority of the NYC scene that hangs out at bars is totally under 21
my guess is at least 70% of the people in attendance will be 21+
Really stoked to meet some fellow NYC SC2 fans at this event! I'm a lucky bastard who gets to work for MLG as a referee, but definitely going to try to swing by Sunday night!
Also I happen to work near this bar so I checked it out the other night. If you have never been you are in for a treat!
Just booked a hotel for sat night at the nyma...It's one block away from Legends, awesome reviews from tripadvisor, and 109+fees per night. I'll be coming down with Nikoras and Jeff. Hope to take some shots with you guys!
I'll be going Friday night after work because I work right by the bar. But leaving brooklyn to come into the city on a weekend with the L train completely down...I may just pay my $20 and drink kfrom home.

Anyone from Jersey going?
I am from Jersey, North Bergen to be more specific. I'll try to go all three days.
Jersey reppin'!!! I foresee the 21+ percentage to be a little higher? I am sure there's going to be some regulars or just people that walk in to see wth is going on haha
damnit man, tell me in advance that you're going and I'll come with, don't text me while you're already there and I'm an hour away with other plans. DAMNIT
Someone buy my friend a drink.
answers to name Omri pronounced 'Ahmree'
He's the self-assured looking Israeli guy hitting on your girlfriend
Definitely had a blast! The terrible lag during the finals almost added to the epicness. Too bad we had to leave during the after party. Hope to see another event like this soon and often!
It seems like ONOG's gone pretty silent since the april Barcraft announcements, and i dont just mean NYC, i dont see them hosting any events at all currently
That's really a shame, cause some of my friends have gone and told me how awesome it was. I was hoping to go sometime. :/ Even thought about it for this weekend so I could meet up with some peeps I haven't seen in a while. Hopefully you guys find a new place to hold it!
Welp, guess everyone will have to come down to Philly then. Good thing Mikey's is right next to 30th Street Station. Actually pretty fast by train, and very cheap by bus. That or head to the Long Island Barcraft, whichever is the closer to you. (guess it depends where in the NYC area you are) Good luck NYC people!
