Ya, we go to a Korean BBQ place basically right next door afterwards and it's always a lot of fun.
Looks like I have work scheduled for that day; need to find out whether or not I'll miss dinner as well. I'll be trusting you guys to hold down the fort while I'm away.
hooktits.619 ; Zerg ; Tits Gaming ; uber pro ; MD,VA, and DC lan veteran/legend ; I had @#$%@ with your mothers last night. (j/k about that last one)
I'm definitely down for some mafia if we can find a place to do it afterwards and if its do-able host a diamond and below tourney as well i know it would make some people happy it doesn't have to have a big prize pool maybe like $40 for 1st and $20 for second or something because most money should go to whoever is the top three at the Main Tournament.
EDIT: TO ALL MY DC NERDS FOR THOSE THAT KNEW OF ME AS HATCHETWOUND ON TL, AND HAVE MET ME IN PERSON AS HOOKTITS MY TL ID IS NOW HOOKTITS AND YES MY TITS ARE QUITE BEAUTIFUL AND HOOK LIKE THANK YOU
George Washington University CSL team is having our first meeting today, we'll get the word out about the LAN and try to assemble a group to attend! GL!

Ok guys enough spam, I'm trying to run LAN signups here. Next uppercase/lowercase post gets a warning, and next Anfield post gets a warning. (since literally every Anfield post in this thread has been god awful)
ok, so for dinner I have an idea, I went to Honey Pig the other night with a rather large group of friends, and we ordered a few different meats for each section of 4 and it turned out great. I had lots of meat, about the same price as ill mee and paying was easy--they brought everyone checks
so we could consider making reservations there and not have to worry about donking around after dinner.
Burns you want to take the lead on that? I can have people RSVP if they are interested in dinner and then somebody make the reservation there say like a week before. we could also go to dinner earlier which would be nice as well.
15 plus tax is what i paid, so 18~~ which is 3 dollars more than ill me, we also dont have to wait till 10 which is big since the lans dont end at 10 anymore
and if we can get a sign up for dinner that would be great
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ADDED TO THE ORIGINAL POST!

I'll take RSVP's for dinner from now though the 22nd, then we'll get a set number and make the reservation. I'm doing it through PM's so I don't risk missing anyone in the thread or anything.
Quick question, what is the standard protocol here? I'm assuming PCs will be provided. We bring mouse/keyboard? Headphones? Hookers? Just looking for clarification. I'd hate to be the only one who didn't bring a hooker because he didn't know....

Anfield is my hooker. His milkshakes bring all the nerds to the yard.

PCs are provided and you can bring your own mouse, keyboard and headset if you want to, each computer has its own peripheries
Also I just want you all to know that every nonsensical post in this thread has already been warned, so you guys were even warned, and then decided to dick around again.
Ive already been over this with some of you, if you want to act like a child, go find a playground.

He left yesteday o_o. He came back for K-Fest, visit old friends and families I assume before going to Korea for a bit.
I'm Lance with GWU Competitive Gaming (GWU CSL mother org). Zlasher mentioned this a bit earlier, but we do still need some help with transportation, please! We can metro to your preference (which will probably be Vienna or Dunn Loring), and then if someone or some people could help provide rides for 6-7 people (FIVE guaranteed, though most likely we will require SIX) to the LAN, it would be really appreciated! Even if you can only give a couple or just one a ride, please give me a shoutout/pm!

I can pick up three? if someone has a minivan i guess all can fit in that.
I have to cap the event at around 40 players due to space limitations in the lan center (I can't have access to all 50 pc's at once) didn't think it would be an issue but if the 5-6 gwu guys come we'll be close to 40. (gwu guys/lance please post so I add you to the signup list)
also I'm going to have to enforce a pretty strict "you only get a pc if your playing in the tournament" rule during the early stages of the tournament when no one has been eliminated yet. Last lan lots of people came and got on pc's for a long time which isn't an issue when there's 24 players, 40 or more we will fill up the place pretty hard and I always have to be mindful at keeping pcs open for the regular customers. because of this please be mindful that if your bringing a friend or not coming to play in the tournament you may not get a pc, or you may be asked to get off if a player needs a pc.
also map pool change, I don't think anyone will have any issues but MLG announced the fall season map pool about an hour ago and they STILL include Tal Darim alter because for some reason they/blizzard think removing the rocks at the 3rd fixes everything. PvP is still a super joke on that map so I'm going to remove it and go with the rest of the MLG map pool for fall:

3 would be great, I will contact you again soon by pm when I can so that we can arrange everything.
@Luckyfool Yes, I will have the guys coming in our group post. (aNdoRi did already, so I'll have everyone else post if they wish to join the tournament.) Besides myself, there should be 3 other GWU guys coming. The other two are visiting friends of which only one person will probably playing. I'll have more information by tomorrow.

I wish I had the skill/time to play.
Maybe next time.
Any skill is welcome :D. I went when I was just a mere gold. Now I'm a masters level because of it! You can ask luckyfool . Time is understandable though! Come when you can :D.
Alright, I have your last two GWU signups for the tournament. HSBC.394 Nick.1544
Anyone else coming with our group will not be participating in the tournament.
We do still need rides for only 2 people! Please contact me ASAP!!!
Also, we have a player who would like to get back to school if possible post-LAN (not going to BBQ) If you can drive him to a metro stop, please let me know!

Are finals bo7? If so, that's the only thing i'd keep in mind. If it goes down to game 7 you'd have to replay a map, which some people don't like. I'm super apathetic about it myself but that's the only downside I see towards making it a 6 map pool.
a bo7 with a 6 map pool begins and ends on the same map which is a pretty standard thing.
rsvp's for dinner are closed, burns hopefully is making the reservations tomorrow. if you msg'd me or were expecting to rsvp for dinner and don't see youself on this list msg me asap.

That's what I thought as well o_o. Let's hope it actually turns out successful!
Was gonna be there for time warp, but fucked up radiator means probably won't be able to make it short of some miracle, but if my car magically gets fixed by Saturday I will make the drive. :D
omg last minute sign up! Add Gamgee.657 to the list, Diamond Zerg from NC representing the Triangle Barcraft crowd :D Hopefully I'm not too late on this.
Is it too late for the BBQ signup. I'm not positive I'll go, depends on how I feel during/after the tourney. Don't expect to be around all day with all you winners there!
I'm looking for a backup plan in case of an emergency. Is there anybody out there who can drive 2 GWU players from your preferred nearest metro station to the LAN and after the LAN or BBQ back to the metro stop?
Is there anyone that can pick me up from Wheaton, MD on Veirs Mill Road to get to LAN tomorrow? It's 25-30 minutes away from lan center with no traffic T_T I won't need a ride back or anything after =/

Fantastic lan! thanks for everyone who came and the viewers, awesome job guys ps peter you dodger (and mike) pss thanks for letting me cast with you nam
Huge thanks to Nan for another amazing day of casting. Huge thanks to Onog for sponsoring the event. I have some ideas as to how to make the next one alot better. But that won't be for a while, probably a week or two after MLG Dallas. Props to RomanDragon and Forbs as well for great finishes that I was not expecting.
Another great event guys! Thanks so much for making it happen I posted up a blog with a little bit about the history of the DC LANs so check it out if you haven't there is also a link to the VOD from the cast over the weekend!
