This is the most diverse knowledgeable community I've ever been a part of, and so, I expect that a reasonable amount of people here have made the jump from the UK/Europe to the USA.
Basically, I'm in a serious relationship with an American girl and one of the options I'm considering is that I move to the USA after I finish my Master's degree, via finding a job (not marriage -- for a while).
The visa requirements themselves I'm pretty content with; but, I do need advice on how to conduct a job search.
I would literally do anything, work in a bar or random office job; just something to start out with. I don't mind. But, I just need some pointers on the right places/websites to look or usual avenues by which Europeans secure jobs in the states.
I know about usajobs.gov but nothing else.
The problem is that I have no clear career trajectory because my bachelor's and research master's are in critical studies/philosophy/theological stuff. Though I have decent work experience from government/law firms.
Cheers
