Regardless of that I really enjoyed TSL3 and I'll enjoy TSL4 even more. I am glad they aren't. You have to realize then it would be just another tournament (in terms of just a weekend thing). The TSL has always been a tournament that lasted a couple months, not 3 days. If it was just offline, again would be like every other tournament and probably wouldn't get as many viewers as it will most likely get if it stays the way it is.
yes! You have to understand that the real world of a nerd is online; this is where his community is. Send him to a LAN, he will feel some kind of unpleasant strangeness. This is what makes TSL different and much more interesting: it touches everybody in their everyday life; everyone can play it, like a local thing. Yet it is also an all star tournament. A local and all star tournament at once, that's what makes it so good. As if you could play a world cup at the corner of your street.

Holy shit ! ) Sick news. When taking into consideration the epicness of TSL3 this one will be one hell of a tournament : )). Really excited about it .

awesome news <3 cant wait!
|
I think the fact that TSLs are only hosted once a year makes them that much more anticipated since there's a lot more hype built around "rare" events than constantly held ones.
If it's going to be even just half as epic as TSL3 was, then it's already going to be absolutely awesome. But I have hopes for even a lot more. Can't wait.
Also I hope Hot_Bid will be the observer in the games again!

Imagine NonY facing the allmighty T-Zain in the finals O.O
|
Stop teasing!!! What's the dates, who's casting, when are the finals!! Naniwa needs to sack up and take revenge for his loss last year. Being up 3-1 proves he has the juice. Nani - I believe!
|
does any1 know about the prize pool this time around
|
Awesome! Need more details - fast! Please ;>

Oh my god, I just got a huge nerdgasm. TSL3 finals were one of the best finals I've ever seen. A rematch between Thorzain and Naniwa would be soo epic..

No, Nazgul repeatedly said in the TL Open threads that the TL Opens had no bearing on TSL 4. I remember, because people kept bitching that they did, and Nazgul kept telling them no. On another note: OH YES. Be on the lookout for the potential Hotbid troll: "To mirror the upcoming Proleague, this TSL will alternate between SC2 and SC:BW."
I would enjoy that quite a bit. Not that its actually good for the competition. But I'd love to watch some foreign brood war.

Can't wait for this to air... TL + ThorZaIN + IdrA fightning!
|
This is gonna be so sick.

I want to see WhiteRa vs IdrA somewhere in there, the best-mannered player versus the worst.
And per usual, have some unknown foreigner in there who kicks everyone's ass and eliminates ThorZain early (I love you but it's for the drama!) and becomes TSL4 champion.
