Nice to see a high level protoss stream that shows how to do such a wide variety of strategies, this is really my go to stream now, I learn more than from most featured ones.
I like to watch his stream a lot. I watch his stream whenever it is up. It's cool how he talks with chat often . He's a good protoss player and fun to watch
I am admittedly with no right a worthy gamer, however I am aware of unique and well refined technique when I see it. Watching this player is an experience as he utilizes a multitude of personalized builds that transition into a plethora of inimitable unit choice and micro style that exemplifies his skill and taste. More importantly he maintains conference with those he streams to and goes the extra mile to converse with a personal level (refering to viewers by name), and always has a chill, down to earth atitude; always giving advise, and playing with different fun builds. Without a doubt someone worth watching, and definitely following!

Exactly.
It is clear that he has an extensive knowledge of build orders, as he is capable of changing up his style almost every game (sometimes even taking builds suggested by viewers), but he amplifies their power by linking them with his personal style. A truly incredible stream.

I speak on behalf of the viewers of the stream hosted by Matt.C when i say that you would not waste your time when you watch him play. There are a ton of argument i could say about the fact that how well he plays Starcaft II. I know i have recently written on this thread saying how much i like the stream, but then i realised that it was too childish, cannot be taken seriously, and uncomparable to the post witten by Nhecron99. So here i am, writing a brand one to express my loyalty and love (no homo) towards Matt.C.
I could easily say that you do not get bored by watching his stream. He always interacts with the viewers, executes builds that they suggest, and even accepts the fact that the reason that he lost was because he made a mistake, and not because the game is imbalanced. In my opinion, accepting a problem is the first step to improvement, and Matt has already taken that step.
Above all of that, i would like to say that he has an extrordinary playstyle and he has the potential to face the pros and even become a member of the pro scence if he desires. His build orders are very well executed and refined in a way that you cannot refine anymore. His mechanics cannot be challenged by other players of his caliber, and he has a great multitasting ability. And last but not least... Hes awsome
To conclude this speech, i would like to say...GO WATCH HIS STREAM, because he definately deserves more viewers.
Greetings all fans of tl.net and our great game Star Craft II
I speak behalf of matt and all of his fans when I say he is simply awsome.
In the few short weeks since I have joined Matt's live stream I have enjoyed many hours of his games in which he live commentates and talks to his fans directly answering questions, talking about stratagy, and giving us tips.
Matts live stream is a Great community where viewers can discuss SC2 and other things while watching and commentating on Matts game. We help each other out with stratagy and help people improve thier game. Matt also helps and comments with explanations of the gameplay that is going on and a general upbeat attitude.
Watching Matt's stream is enjoyable because of his diffrent and phenomenal protoss style that is interesting to watch and for the most part isn't a straight up 4 gate. He has good music playing in the backround to better the atmosphere of his channel. All-in-all a great channel, the best I've seen.
Matt stream is great because of all the great games and his upbeat attitude and great sportsman ship I think everyone should follow his stream and watch his games because it is a great experience.
Awsome stream very firendly and great banter. been watc hing for a few days now and think its great how he takes everything in his stride and takes advice from everyone^^

What he said pretty much...
Same as Refikki, been watching it for a few days now, and I love the stream, Matt interacts with his viewers, live commentates, music (good music, for all you music haters out there). I'd recommend watching his stream if you're bored and want something to do. Trust me you'll love it.
I actually registered to post in this thread, as i have only lurked TL for a long time.
Just to reiterate, Matt's stream is awesome. One of the few streamers who commentates his games as he plays AND has an open dialogue with the viewers. He even had a channel open in bnet for viewers to chat with. Matt's stream is a new favourite protoss stream for me, along with orb and desrow. I hope since you said you are out of school now you will be streaming a lot more!
OMG Matt you have truly inspired me to be a better protoss player and for that I say thanks. Your are totally wicked man and your stream is awesome with great people, great music, and overall its fun filled.
If you haven't been to his stream yet then what are you waiting for?!?
From all the streams I've seen across teamliquid, I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the way that Matt.C streams. He's dedicated to his stream, and always talks to help people to understand what he's thinking in current situations, along mentioning specific things he does that could possibly help him get a larger lead.
His stream is high quality (pretty much), which I'm sure all of us (his viewers) appreciate. I find that it's more enjoyable to watch, even when he complains about some stuff/BM, but that's seen in every stream.
I think one of the most noticable things, which countless numbers of streamers fail to do, is to interact with their audience. Like Matt.C has said in his stream, he feels that the audience is the most important part of the stream, and that he loves to be interacting with them. This feature of his stream is probably the biggest pull factor in which I choose his stream instead of some other more highly ranked player/streamer.
And of course, the next reason is because of his actual gameplay. He's a fairly good player (1350+ Masters Toss), high masters. The type of play at near the top of the ladder is sought by everyone, but not always so insightfully explained to the viewers of the stream. His attitude is usually good, the audience's attitude is good, I definitely feel that this stream should deserve more viewers.
Last thing, definitely check out his youtube channel, and his justin.tv channel. Make sure you watch Matt.C!

Pretty much agree right here. This stream is just so fun to watch. He loves his watchers and loves to entertain them. Loving the stream!
Hi Matt, its me i wanted to say hi and that i love your stream, i love the quality, chatter, fun builds, and listening to you talk, and the music i think best stream on TL, everytime I go onto TL I look for your stream cause I think its that awsome, anyways just wanted to leave you a comment took a while to write, created an account just to do so, and hope you make it to Grand Master and get featured, see you the next time I stream snipe you.
Excellent stream sir. Keep it up... though it would be superb if you streamed at a time not 1am. Just sayin'. It is tough to actually find you at such an extreme hour.
Matt knows what he's doing. He does a lot of different builds and explains them if you ask. Also the chat is awesome with other people that can explain things to you. You should definitely check him out if you are looking to learn some new Protoss strats. In my opinion he is one of the better live streaming Protoss players out there.
Like BossHog I only registered on TL to get the word out about Matt!
i probably have 0 posts too, as i am still learning SC2 and mostly lurk, watch streams n listen to podcasts. Anyway It's people learning protoss who would most benefit from Matt's stream anyway due to his vocal commentary. I follow Inka/incontrol/huk/whitera/response and none of them seem to talk about what they are doing and why which make all the difference to a noob like me. He has some interesting builds and never loses his cool.
Greetings fellow TL forum readers and viewer of Matt's stream,
I do not know who is reading this and you may know me because i watch the stream a lot and i posted a bigass post on the 1st page. So fellow "streamees" i salute you.
There are three reasons that I write this post. 1) because I wanted you guys to see that im still alive 2) because i wanted u guys to know i didnt give up on Matt (yet ) 3) because i wanted to write this post
this post is especially dedicated to the host of the stream: Matt.C. So here it goes.
I am very sorry that i haven't watched your stream lately. It's nothing personal. I just went on a vacation. I have very limited access to the Internet and it is very slow there, so watching streams is a pain in the ass. One of the ups of Cuba, is the wonderful beaches and resorts that keep my mind away from SC2. I am going to stay in Cuba for 1.5 weeks, and then take a plane to California and a few weeks later, ill return home (Montreal). I'll be home a exactly the 10th of august. at the start of september, I am going to start my first year in College. That means that i'll have less time to focus on SC2 and devote time to my studies.
Last but not least, i want you to reply to this longass thread lol
I hope that you have enjoyed my life story and if you have read until the end... you have a good attention span lol.
On July 18 2011 06:14 statik wrote: anyone else think its kind of weird that the spurts of people with 1 post all joined on the same exact days?
sadly a lot of people do this to bump their streams T.T
Boosting my stream? WTF?! that was probably one of my bigger viewing days and i told them to write here, as i just PMed back to you watch my stream once and you would see... Notice how you and the other comment are 2 minutes apart. What did you look to ban me? Go on an account post that, then come on your actually account and ban me, like seriously just watch the stream one time......... I harass my viewers to do this and subscribe to me on you tube, this is just unbelievable.
People should be happy that viewers of Matt's stream are making Tl accounts and commenting on this forum. I do believe that's considered growing the community.
This guy runs a great stream, I used to watch him back on Ustream until he took a very long break. Now he's back and still running the stream on high quality and providing a fun commentary while being engaged with the viewers chatting on the stream.
Something I would like to see a little more of is commentating and strategy, unit choices, timings etc.
I think it is a reasonable assumption that there are lots of viewers are players looking to improve (like me) that would appreciate insight into how good players think/play and sometimes that doesnt come through just by watching someone play.
BAM!!! 80!!!! Finally broke down and made an account only cause you have an awesome stream, same reason I made a JTV account! And learned a ton from your Brotoss play. Thanks Chris
Definitely a great stream and play at time rivaling the best streamers out there.. especially for protoss.
Why don't more people actually -build- from their gateways more before warp gate, especially if 4-gating and even more importantly if defending from a 4-gate from an opponent? It's the only way I ever get the edge.. but it does give me the edge.
Roaches are OP. Marauders are OP.
That is all.
Ciao! Thanks and have fun; kick some arse!
EDIT: I also made an account just to post here just like Hotshot above.. haha.. awesome!
Watching now.... hovering at around 30 viewers.... should be a LOT more... good player... keeps his play fresh and is enjoyable to watch.... plus, good music! :D (new TL account, but I watch people like destiny, spanishiwa, minigun's streams alot.... and now Matt.C)
I stumbled upon your stream today and I was very impressed with the way you run it. Also helps that you kick ass at the game and I hope to learn a lot from you. Looking forward to future casts!
Hey Matt, I don't get to catch your stream live since you play a lot earlier in the day while I'm still at work, but I still watch a lot of your past casts. I learn a lot from you and love your playstyle and casting. I even used the "fastest 5-min 4-gate" PvP build the second time on a guy I had just beaten and I got him to rage quit both games. Keep up the good casting! I hope to be as good as you someday!
I have to go to school in like 2 minutes, so this will be quick. Fantastic stream that needs to be Featured, why? Well, there are multiple reasons, 1: Pretty Beastly Toss, 2: He actually talks to his viewers, no matter how many are there. 3: He is a Boss. What else could be asked for?

Well a good streamer is also funny, teaches you builds, streams lessons, explains his decisions, and has good music.
Mcanning is back and has easily one of the best SC2 streams. Super positive whether he wins or loses and gives really helpful commentary throughout the whole game, explaining his decisions. There is also a lot of interaction with the chat and will take the time to answer your questions.
Definitely a personality that has the potential to make it big in the SC2 scene.
