Currently in Diamond playing on NA server. UED Gaming's SC2 team Flow Gaming welcomes Dove and looks forward to seeing how his journey on SC2 progresses.
been watching him play and it might be worthy to note that he said hes played about ~60 games in sc2, started 3 weeks ago and is diamond on korea as well as NA
Just watched a bit. His decision making and micro weren't especially great but he definitely has masters level macro, apm and general familiarity with the interface... If he's really only played about 60 games and has that skill then i'm a fan already.
I can confirm Dove will be playing Brood War and Starcraft 2. He will continue to stream/play Brood War for a long time.
He's expressed his interest in training to become a pro gamer. However he is conflicted with his education and his desire to be an SC2 pro gamer. Flow Gaming is a great start for Dove and he's recently been joined by another ex SKT1 pro gamer in UED's Flow Gaming that will push him further in to his desire to becoming a pro gamer once more.
Brood War is his passion and he'll continue to love and support it with his stream. It's a big decision for Dove currently as he may be sacrificing his potential education to go in to pro gaming once again. I suppose we're lucky to tag along for the journey and see where things go for him.
Good luck either way I'm just happy to witness what could be the start of a tough and exciting gaming experience
mhm :/ will keep watching him because he's cool, but I really hope he plays some BW here and there, his play just looks so much more impressive in bw :x
but now PvT can't stop him either because you can use bio!!! right?right?

That's exactly what it is. Their website isn't even finished.
yeah thats what i figured. wondering how a BW progamer ended up dealing people like that. the guy is trying to decide between education and a pro gaming career and this "UED gaming" is helping him decide...really??? guy needs something better than that.
what do they have to offer him that has him on their team. i feel there were a lot of lies thrown around and fake promises.

Really? You might not want to post something as ignorant as that..
its far from ignorant. no one knows wtf UED gaming is. my guess is you are in some way affiliated with that community and offended that everyone hasnt heard of you before.
So much fun watching someone with dat BW speed but comparatively pretty little strategy knowledge. He's just wrekin kids with strats that by all rights should be awful. BW mechanics FTW. Also, just sayin', Liquid'Dove has a great ring to it, right?

If you played any Brood War you would have heard of them. I only played UMS maps back then and I still knew about them. You're welcome to ask questions but making negative remarks is not necessary.
Wow thanks for the warm welcome i guess. We're a BW team/community playing on SC2 trying to help FG and players like Dove get sponsorship to enjoy the game he likes. Having managed to introduce Xsplit to Brood War and Sc2 sponsorship we're just helping the players get better equipment etc to play and stream. Not much else to it to be fair.
Brood War is going well for us and we've made some awesome friends through it in the process. A pretty cool story actually, UED in Brood War went from US West clan to a pretty good team and managed to put some tournaments together for the community. Other than that there's not much to brag about.
Dove wanted to play SC2 so we got him an account and helped him put a stream together (gj Aaf.cat for kicking the stream off!).
So yeah, our facilities aren't quite SlayerS but we're giving it a go to enjoy it. Fingers crossed Dove uses it as a vehicle to go on to better things we'll do our best to give him a helping hand on the way. Same goes to all the FG players.
i love watching him play bw so much. but his stream viewership meant a lot to him and i remember him frequently making comments about how unknown players were getting so much views on tl because they were sc2. also he wants more donations haha. so really, i am not to surprised he is playing sc2 on stream.
this guy is fucking amazing to watch play bw. you know how really good ladder players in sc2 get like ~75% win rate? this guy has like a 95% win rate on bw ladders haha. albeit it's really impossible for him to find people of his skill level
in the long run its better hes on a "new team". say he is soon to be a top caliber player. having him on an already stacked EG, Mouz, etc roster is not interesting, making one super team may be cool if your a fan of said team, but if this team can become known starting with Dove and growing it will do more good in the future.
Damn these guys seem to know nothing about current bw foreign community, and let themselves talk shit. What kind of ignorance is this? Even I who started to play BW for fun again after so many years learned about this clan. Hobbang aka In_Dove is number 1 on iccup, they also have TopStar whose stream is also featured on tl.
Lol, for a second I was like wth is with these people? Then I realized that this is posted in the SC2 forum and it explained a lot of the ignorant people. If you really have no idea about the player or the team you really shouldn't talk, else you just making yourself look like an idiot and look stupid.
Dove will continue streaming BW and be practicing SC2 as well, for those wondering his iCCup ID is: UED_Hobbang.SL and literally has been #1 all season, he is also a high of 1800 on Fish server.

Yeah so ignorant for people who don't follow a game to not know about a community clan in said game. Went to the BW forum and saw hardly anyone talking about WC3. I was like wtf why are these people talking about BW in the BW forum. They don't know what WC3 is? So ignorant.

I don't know what you're trying to say, I don't even think its proper english but I think I can make out what you're trying to say ... and my response to that is, if you don't know what you're talking about its best not to speak.

And there is no "hounding" for donations.
I think his point was that all this info is not common sense since we are in the SC2 section rather then the brood war one. Since i never followed BW i don't have a clue about any of these people/teams either and it would be nice for someone to actually explain stuff instead of calling anyone who doesn't know it an idiot.

skt1 a-teamer afaik, bw korean players have no clue wat the good/top sc2 teams are, wat most likely happened was this team offered dove some money to wear their tag and dove probably thought to himself "cool, free money"
ASNheat, the vast majority of the stream chat were excited about the donations going to Dove. Many of which were random SC2 fans encouraging Dove to run commercials. I was the most active UED member there as a Moderator and the main thing i was bringing to attention was the impressive donation made by one of the spectators and thanking people for their donations. Nobody was hounding as you s bluntly put it. In terms of ways of funding "our org" we're established such respectable ways already so we don't need to "hound" for anything.
"because admins asking for donations every minute isn't hounding" - There are MANY admins on Doves stream of which the majority i don't even know and aren't associated with UED Gaming. So if anyone was "hounding" it wasn't coming from us.
I think this has all be blown out or context and if it's of any help, I'll ensure no admin mentions a word about donations again and I'm sorry you feel so sore about it all. Thank you for your opinion I've taken it on board and will seek to move forward with the view of improving the content moderaton of Doves stream regarding donations.

He will be playing T in sc2. We have other korean players on our team (Lake[name]). Dove will continue to stream broodwar so don't worry I am still a huge fan of the game and wouldn't want to disappoint those who know of him from broodwar. Feel free to PM me any questions instead of bashing one of the greatest foreigner teams on broodwar because you have only ever known sc2 players and teams it is not fair to their players or their team.
I should also add that the reason Dove is only in diamond is because he has just created his account today and his UEDDove account had been on a 20 game win streak but had not been promoted yet. Hope that clears that up. He is definitely masters level on NA.

Why does TT1 come into every topic and talk as if he knows the situation? I highly doubt this community team is attempting to scoop up a BW pro cheaply for their own recognition. They aren't even a corporation, it's a COMMUNITY CLAN. They are just helping him get on his feet in SC2 and try his hand at a foray into the game.

According to TLPD he has never played in PL and has one MST kespa sectioned win and 2 GOM TV classic wins so he was a B-teamer in SKT .
Cool. Is there any plan to go pro in SC2? Even if he was a B-teamer that still is significant. Remember that guys like Nestea, Idra and MC were B-teamers in BW.

Wow I can't believe that he just switched like that, a little heart broken.
Wait but i'm slightly confused as to why snowhell was NUKED for his posts. It seemed like he was just trash talking a little bit, as well as being surprised the player went to such a relatively unknown team. At least he was honest when he said he hadn't heard of them.

I just fell in love with his BW stream after people twitted about it. He is a lot faster than any streamer I have seen. I just think that SC2 doesn't actually need constant 400 + apm so he should be just fine.
Coo, cant wait to check it out! In regards to him being Diamond...I was a BW player, never played the beta, and bought SC2 the day it was released. I got to Diamond the first week of release..IMO he should already b high masters if he were a BW pro

You think he needs that? Its In_Dove lol, what you're saying is insulting. He doesn't need anyone to get him going, he will be better than 99% of the NA server in 2 days. This whole situation seems kind of ridiculous tbh, I definitely see him going to a pro -team very soon if he actually cares at all about having an SC2 career.

I don't think you can compare the skill level of Diamond league now, and Diamond league back in July 2010; the standard has just improved so so much. Also, I'm fairly sure that he's winning more than he's losing, so he will be getting his promotion to masters fairly soon. Just don't expect too much from someone who's played about 1/20th of the games that his competitors have - he has such little experience that he was shocked that Planetaries couldn't lift off!

I think everyone here who use to know dove or was a fan of dove you be greatfull that he is moving up into sc2 and joining a team to start and play with a team that is nice and loves to practice

This, absolutely. The thing is though they speak like UED is a known USWest team and making it sound like UED has been a good BW team for a long time , no offense to be quite frank, it seems kind of obvious that the team became so good because of the fact that players are being paid, I mean I don't think it is coincidental that all these good players join some random team out of no where , and a "good team" is formed, but really is there much chemistry between the team? Because I highly doubt there is.
I think it is awesome that Dove is playing SC2 but seriously, you shouldn't be pressing you're opinion's on everyone on TL and say if they don't know UED they are "ignorant" lol. UED used to be a USWest team I was good friends with the leader, it was a FASTEST / use map settings / whatever clan, not untill later , did these people with money come into the picture that started buying all of these good players to form a "good team".
Like I said before I think it's cool what you guys are doing and it is amazingly awesome to see Dove @ SC2 and I'm sure he will be top calibur but the way you present yourself and the clan is so unprofessional that it is deadly obvious what is going on. Not trying to be rude just reflecting my view's on what everyone else were trying to express and the little knowledge I knew about UED. I know FG as well, but this is no where near the level of a team that a EX SKT1 bw pro gamer should be on in my opinion, but like someone said before me, maybe it is better he is joining an unknown team so that team can become famous, nevertheless gl hf Dove!!! You guys could've stayed professional, explained that you were a BW team now venturing in to SC2 but instead you acted like eleven year old CoD players. For the sake of In_Dove i hope he realizes that if he wants to stay on foreign team and play competetive, this isnt right for him, playing for an team (what looks like) having a management built on 12 year olds who want to boast about their 20 inch e-penis on forums.

TT1 is talking about the days where Koreans where viewed as mercenaries. Hell, even some foreigners would clan/team hop for a small wage.
This isn't always the case.
These teams got a lot of flack for having Koreans and Chinese players on their team. Now it's cool when a Korean or other prominent players signs onboard with these teams. Just remember it wasn't always like that.
In any case, my advice TT1 is to stop projecting on their guild.

Frankly people were not calling anyone idiot and ignorant just for not knowing what UED was. The negative reactions started when few people started bashing UED, FG and Dove for no reason at all, just because they never heard of them or they do not have a nice website. And actually you are continuing in the same vein of unprovoked bashing.

Whether or not anyone has a salary, I believe no one does, but that doesn't mean no one on the team gets paid $

Whether or not anyone has a salary, I believe no one does, but that doesn't mean no one on the team gets paid $

skt1 a-teamer afaik, bw korean players have no clue wat the good/top sc2 teams are, wat most likely happened was this team offered dove some money to wear their tag and dove probably thought to himself "cool, free money"
You think he needs that? Its In_Dove lol, what you're saying is insulting. He doesn't need anyone to get him going, he will be better than 99% of the NA server in 2 days. This whole situation seems kind of ridiculous tbh, I definitely see him going to a pro -team very soon if he actually cares at all about having an SC2 career.
and i never said i knew wat was happening, thats y i said "most likely" was wat i said even negative at all? sry if it was yo
no I misread your post, I thought you were implying that he was simply taking advantage of a team for free money. it was my mistake )
Imagine what would happen if someone taught him the basics of the metagame... he seems to have only a basic idea of what units to use and still crushes major face.

Thats the best thing about this stream, watching him develop and learn new things every game :D.
17 career wins on his account and already in Masters. He still doesn't know how all the units function but is able to win with pure micro and superior mechanics.
