I have a set of surround sound Boston Acoustics BA7800 speakers with an amp from Gateway. Quite a while ago, the 2 surround speakers simply stopped working. I've tried everything, got new sound card drivers (I have SB mp3+), still no go. Whenever I try to do the speaker test, the front ones respond but the surround ones never do. The closest thing that I've had to getting the surround speakers to work, is sometimes I get the left surround speaker to make some strange hissing sounds etc.
Any advice? Thanks. |

| Oh ya, I forgot to add. The speakers themselves are definitely not broken. I have switched the cables to test them, and plugged the surround speakers as the front ones, and on the speaker test, they worked that way. |

Try new cables? Either that or your input's are screwed, I'm assuming |
