I figured there would be a thread about this sooner or later but apparently not too many people know about it yet.
the series, which officially starts tommorow (the pilot preair is already online however), is hyped to be the successor of LOST.
Here's a Promo vid:
Plot: A mysterious global event causes most people to simultaneously experience, for two minutes and seventeen seconds, his or her life six months in the future. When it is over, many are dead in accidents involving vehicles, aircraft, and any other device needing human control. Everyone who survived is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen.
The pilot was really really good imo, watch it.

First half of the trailer was amazing, second half a big let down. I thought they were going to see soem sort of alien attack or something in their vision, and then have 6 months to prepare to change the future etc. Seems to be more of a soap opera / drama though, no special event happens in 6 months, and people just have to deal with their interpersonal drama.

I don't think so. Once you've seen the pilot you might think differently too. As you've seen in the trailer, the main character (who works for the FBI) sees himself searching the cause for the blackout, and from what he remembers from the vision, he starts investigating in the present, like certain clues that he saw on that wall but of course in the present he has no clue what they mean, so it's definitely a mystery series.
Christ, I saw a promo for this on Australian tv (channel 7) and thought 'jesus christ, you could have picked a different theme song then 'mad world'".
I also wonder if the line 'the dreams where I'm dying are the best I've ever had" really applies to this show? It probably doesn't, though I know basically nothing about it.

I just watched the pilot. I wouldn't say it was really great, but it's an okay show. I'll watch it if I don't forget.
I completely agree with cz. Even though there are some part of mystery, I don't feel like that mystery will be great. I would like to add that Lost had also a part of survival, with the part of mystery. So, it was a mix of survival/mystery. This looks more like a mix of drama/mystery and I'm not sure about that...
Anyway, I would recommend it if you have nothing to do more than browsing TL again and again.

I actually found out about this series from John Cho's wikipedia page. I'm pretty intrigued by it. Apparantly it's based on a book. Has anyone read it?
This door is awesome, we should just take it off its hinges and bring it with us

If it makes viewers think it will be canceled especially since it is on basic television. If it isn't a law drama, medical, or reality it won't make it.
But good luck.
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

I thought this thread was about the Flash Forwards in Lost. Fuck I miss Lost, and the fucking ebbinghaus curve is making me forget all my geek Lost trivia. I guess I could always devote another two months of my life to watching the entire series again.
