| sweet! make sure you see how well the keys depress, which is really the most important thing as far as cheap kboards are concerned |

| I don't know why you would compare this keyboard to a samsung. I mean..they are both keyboards but I think people generally like the samsung ones because they are of high quality and are not cheap 10$ walmart keyboards. Last edit: 2009-09-28 16:19:32 |

Not really relevant if you're looking for a DT-35 clone, but Logitech makes a pretty good cheap keyboard that my local wal-mart sells for $12, and the keys on it are amazingly nice. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3046&cl=us,en
that's the one im using right now (signed by savior, effort, skyhigh, day9, and tasteless ^^) it's pretty good, but after some use i've found that the keys are sometimes unresposives, specifically my 2 and Z key
also the first two i bought didnt work -.- as in they didnt register with my computer for some reason |

Anyways in specs the DT-35 isn't that just an old keyboard that pros just happen to adopt and eventually all use is the way i look at it.
I mean if i remember right it still uses a PS/2 for interface which can't support more then 4 keys being pushed and has a higher input lag then usb. Both matter little in sc as the most you push in sc at a time would be 2 button and that would be by accident.
Anything about it can be found in other keyboards i believe it is a membrane/dome keyboard nothing to special about it. Except maybe the size of the keys and the angle they are at.
To me the DT-35 is just another cheap keyboard. |

It's not just the classic layout to be main advantage of having DT-35, it's how the keys are made. Both cheap clone from Walmart and low-budget Logitech keyboard you posted in this thread are not worth your money until you are low APM player.
Just to give you an idea how bad is this Logitech - I tried it once and after 3 months the keys I'm using mostly (numbers and crucial macro hotkeys like "S" or "M") were simply destroyed - you can't feel anymore if you really pressed a key and sometimes it doesn't work at all until you press it really really strong.
Cheers, Raven |

| i used dell keyboards before i got a dt-35 and the keys feel almost identical, and theyre both just standard layout/size/shape, so if you really want one like the pros just get a generic dell keyboard. |

Yea, that's what I use.
The only thing I wondered about is whether the dt-35s handle multiple key presses better. That would be the only justification for the price IMO. They wouldn't really have anything that standard Dell keyboards don't have, if that was the case. |
