I only have time for 1 and NHL wins! I actually somehow got ESPN in my apartment (dunno who is paying for it) so my sleep pattern is doomed for the next 8 months. AWESOME! p.s. the swedish elite league quality sucks, not gonna watch this year. |

| he got a knee injury in april and retired september. He was a devil, but his contract actually expired this year anyways, so he wasnt really with a team when he retired I think |

anyways, time to rant about my leafs. i wasn't able to watch the game but did hear the last period on radio and the post-game from ron wilson. I think the toronto media is starting to get to him hahaha. no but seriously doesn't sound like he was happy at all. the radio hosts also said kabby was the best man on the ice, but from the past two games i've seen, that probably meant the rest of the team was complete shit. kabby's skilled and all, but his effort just wasn't there the last two games. I really don't think Kessel will make a difference either, reading up on him from what some in Boston have said, sounds like Kessel won't really be a huge motivating factor on the team. It's only 3 games, but I've rarely seen the Leafs do well after hitting a slump like this where the players are slow to start. Looks like Hanson and Bozak won't be spending too much time with the Marlies haha. I say bring back the frat pack or w/e it was... |

Seriously I look at him play and I cry. Giving the puck to the other team, taking a bad penalty, skating at 0.22 km/h, seriously whyyyyyyy did they sign him when we had good prospect waiting in Hamilton. I'd much prefer coping with a young def mistakes while he learns in the nhl than coping with Hall Gill's mistakes.
Just look at Goligoski in Pittsburgh or Del Zotto in NY, Erik Johnson with the Blues, they are young, they have some potential and their teams are giving them ice time (even on first powerplay waves). Why not do the same in Montreal. Sure they called back Weber but that's only because Markov + O'Byrne are out. They could've started the season with 2 young D (OByrne + Weber) and without Hall fucking Gill.
Oh well we'll see what will happen. The Habs played well in Calgary for maybe 40-50mins. The 2nd period was pretty awful but the rest was interesting. Gomez+Gionta+Cammy line is getting there and will dominate in a couple of weeks |
