I use Ustream alot to watch NBA in europe, and i have never seen a stream this stable and highquality like the glhf.tv one.
I´d love them handling the stream and day9 the commentary
Both the best i have seen so far(considering the quality of the stream@9000viewers)

haha, have fun with those components. ^.^ maybe now, you wont have to run everything with a windows 98 look on it.
as far as blip.tv is concerned, everything runs smoothly, no hiccups that i have experienced. the video quality is the same quality of awesome that is on your stream/livestream. No issues with desync so far. Basically, just like youtube.

Anyone else think that maybe *part* of the reason ustream has so many more viewers is cus it counts differently than livestream (i.e. it may be double counting somewhere)

Day, what are the odds that this week we get to see Jinro's play on Blistering Sands from yesterday analyzed? Would be super awesome to hear more of your thoughts about this. =)

I also saw the other day that Penny Arcade has a $10,000 college scholarship fund which "recognizes one student shown to have the most potential to positively impact the game industry via a $10,000 academic scholarship". Really this hit me after your closing comments on your 100th cast. This would seem to fit you very well. I'm not sure how many more years of school you have, but it might be worth checking out. The scholarship website is: http://www.penny-arcade.com/pas/
Good luck if you apply and keep doing a great job on your casts!
Hey Mr. Dr. Professor Mother fucking Day9. I have a suggestion. Find a way to sponsor your stream so we viewers dont have to deal with that BS ad bar that blocks the mini map.
Just a suggestion thou
We were all raised on televion that made us believe we'd all be Millionairs, Movie gods, and Rockstars..... But we won't.... We are slowly learning that fact. And we are very, very pissed off.

Thank you Day[9] for all your efforts and for constantly taking your own time out of your schedule to cast and help explain and analyze games. I really appreciate your work and you have really inspired me not only in Starcraft, but in various aspects in life too. I wish you all the best and hope you will one day achieve your hopes and dreams in the future.

What service is this?
Whenever I encounter some little hitch, or some of my orbs get out of orbit, nothing pleases me so much as to make the crooked straight and crush down uneven places. www.day9.tv

That ad bar is easily removed with Firefox + Adblock plus.

It seriously took me a while to become comfortable w/ the whole setup. I really enjoy lecturing/teaching as an activity, and it might even feel like I'm a lecturer when watching the stream. But, from my end, I'm alone in a room w/ a door shut and I'm just talking to myself for an hour LOL.
Also, I drink more coffee now :D

Lets hope we dont have to watch the dailies in "slowest" mode sometime soon ...

If you cant say what you're meaning, you can never mean what you're saying.
The GLHF.TV cast was amazingly smooth. I didn't get any buffering, not once. I am in New Zealand, so I expect _some_ fail due to my poor straw internet. But it was brilliantly smooth. In fact, it was better than the Direct.TV Blizzcon cast, and I had to pay for that! I can't get Blip.TV to work for longer than 3 minutes, then it resets to the start. Livestream was sort of workable, but once it pauses, it doesn't restart (cf. youtube buffering, you can pause, then come back and watch without interruptions). GLHF.TV used up 400 Mb of my cap per hour, but it was well worth it. I'd watch all the dailies if they were that smooth (although I might have to upgrade my internet plan to increase the cap!).
