Woongjin Stars vs SamSung KHAN Set 1 Winner (Z)Kwanro:
"My goal is to do better than (Z)ZerO"

- It's your first Proleague interview since you moved to Woongjin
▲ I'm really happy. I think I won too late even though people were expecting a lot from me. I sit next to Zero and he is really good. I think I won because I decided to become his disciple and learn from him.

- Do you two have synergistic effect on each other
▲ I thought that at first but then I realized that it's for Zero to use his own style and for me to use my own style. I think it's better to maintain our styles while practicing hard.

- How was today's game
▲ I think I was a little lucky. I was able to use my Scourges well.

- Why do you think it took you a while to win
▲ I think I just played badly. I think I would still have done badly even if I was in CJ. I hope I can continue to win and smile.

- Did you get used to the new environment?
▲ It was awkward because the bed was a different color and the placement was completely different but now I'm used to it. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I can win often from now.

- Your future goals?
▲ My goal is to play better than Zero (laughs).

- The next match is against WeMade
▲ I want to play against (Z)Shine. I was known for my aggresive style, but when I saw Shine play, I thought his style was really good.

- (Z)Hyuk mentioned you in his interview
▲ I wasn't thinking about it. It was a few months ago and I was busy so I couldn't think about it, but I'm sorry if he felt bad. Hyuk is doing really well recently. If I have a chance, I might pick him for the MSL Group Selections.

Woongjin Stars vs SamSung KHAN Set 2 Winner (P)free:
"I'm happy because it feels like my efforts are showing in my results"

- It's your 5th Proleague win
▲ I was sad after losing in all the individual leagues but I'm happy because it feels like my efforts are showing in Proleague.

- How was today's match?
▲ I was sent to play against a Terran player. I thought I would win because I did well during practice. Terran players use timing rushes a lot, and (T)firebathero did as well. I already practiced blocking such a rush so I was able to block the rush at the center and win.

- Your opponent was firebathero
▲ Truthfully, he's not bad at TvP and the map is good for Terran so I was pressured by people saying that I was going to win. My teammates tell me about who people expect to win but I decided to not worry about such a thing and just practice hard.

- You're doing well from the beginning
▲ Last season I went 35-25 and I thought I lost too much. I thought to myself that I will definitely win against those I should win against and still take off some games from top players. It's still the beginning but I want to continue my good momentum.

- You could have played against (P)Stork
▲ I don't have any player I'm afraid of right now, but Stork knows me very well. It's not that I dodged him, but I wanted to play against a Terran player.

- The next match is against WeMade
▲ I want to play against Mind although he's doing very well right now. I played against him a lot and I think they were all good matches

- Anything else you want to say?
▲ I broke my losing streak and now I'm on my winning streak. I want to win the rest of my matches and end the first round with 7-4 record. The high school 3rd graders are having a hard time due to their exams but I hope they are able to control their conditions well and do well on their exams.

Woongjin Stars vs SamSung KHAN Set 3 Winner (Z)ZerO:
"I think Woongjin fits me very well"

- You're in the lead for the most wins
▲ I'm happy but it's still the beginning and I don't worry about it.

- You're on a winning streak after breaking your losing streak
▲ The team had a lot of changes during the off-season and I think it's finally showing. I don't know why but I think I get along very well with my team (laughs). I'm enjoying my matches.

- Kwanro called you "master"
▲ I feel weird because my disciple is a finalist and I've never been to the finals. I think he's just making fun of me. I think once he gets used to it, Kwanro will win a lot. I think I need to try harder because I sometimes fall all the way when my winning streaks are broken.

- People say your ZvZ is the problem
▲ I think it's because my ZvZ records are bad but I decided to forget about my past losses so I think I can overcome the problem if I win a lot of games from now.

- You're on a winning streak
▲ I want to thank all my teammates and other teams' players for helping me practice.

The CJ bed had a pattern of pikachu's, I'm guessing.

Truthfully he's not bad at TvP... he's terrible at it.

What is free talking about here?

Yes, that's exactly the reason...

Thanks a lot!

He's saying he wants to win the rest of the matches that way his record will be 7-4 by the end of round 1. Also he's saying the 3rd year high schoolers (12th grade in USA) control their conditions well so they can do well on their final exams.
Taking ideas on what to put here.

Thx for the translation!

3rd grader in Korean High School is the equivalent of grade 12 here in North America. In Asia, a greater emphasis is placed on the school rankings. What university that you can get into may very well determine how you will live the rest of the life. It is very understandable that the Korean kids are incredibly stressed out about the final exam.

Which, of course, brings up an interesting question.

What will be the futures of the retired players? Lots of them probably don't even have their highschool degree.

Not everybody is Nal_ra. I remember watching that National Geographic documentary on Xellos. Grrr was featured in it. Needless to say, Grr wasn't exactly living in styles.

On the other hand, Elky is owning professional poker after he retired...The man is pimp...

Grrr... is also in pro poker, but not to the same degree of success that Elky is having.

Yeah, I remember that the documentary featured him playing online poker.

Elky is a Guinness World Record holder in professional poker...

YES, Free and Mind always show good games (even when Free decides to go all out abusive toss on him)

After seeing Zero's Blizzcon ZvZ I don't think anyone can doubt he is going to be huge this season.
