Now I've been thinking about expanding to progame commentary. Before you get me wrong, I don't plan on doing the same kind of commentary that tasteless would do or anything. I would also commentate on games that interest me. If I saw a 5 minute bunker rush turn out succesful vs Magma or something, you probably wouldn't find it in my youtube page. My idea is that I'd try to bring out the strategic aspect of progames, point out what to pay attention to, what goes through their mind etc. Though I'd try to be a bit more enthusiastic, don't count on it too much. I wouldn't be there to bring pure entertainment, which you can really enjoy while hearing a commentator like tasteless or someone else tell you whats happening. My idea is to bring mostly strategic analysis. There is also the option of doing dual commentary with someone like Superiorwolf. I've known him for a pretty long time. His voice isn't high pitched anymore, and he was able to get B+ on iccup so he wouldn't be bad I think.
I also wanted to make some progame commentaries which I can later use better in my new zerg strategy guide.
Tell me your thoughts and if you'd like to see this happen. I am aware that commentating on my own fpvods lets me get away with robotic and monotone voice, but if you think it wouldn't work out well here, just feel free to say so. If I did start doing some progame commentaries, it would mean that I'd make a bit less fpvods. I have limited time nowadays. Tell me what you guys think and wether I should go for it or not.

I wasn't aware of the fact that you commentated games at all (I appologize for that) so I can't really say anything before I have watched one of your commented games or more. However, my gut feeling is that it's rather nice to have non-pro game matches commentated also since they are closer to my skill level and thus can teach me things that pro games can't.
"Why is that?", none of you ask. Well, because the professionals cut so many corners that I just can't so if I try to imitate them too closely I get stomped due to my lack of ability to execute it all correctly.
So while I do support you for commenting pro-games too, I would say that it would be nice if you continued to commentate non-pro games also. Does one by necessity exclude the other? |

| Sounds similar to the type of game analysis Day9's been doing on his channel. I wouldn't rewatch or abstain from watching the original broadcast on a game just so I can watch it with the kind of commentary usually done (for the sake of just entertainment), but strategic analysis that can bring out parts of the game I missed or that's too subtle for me to appreciate on my own is something I'd be interested in seeing. |

I'm not going to say 'do what the progamers do'. I will explain WHY they do what they do, making it easier to understand and later on do yourself. Foreigners often decide to go with really weird plays and make a lot of incorrect decisions, which is why I'd refrain from using them as 'progame commentary'
There is the possibility of mostly doing dual commentary with superiorwolf too, like I explained before. Both of us could give pretty good strategic analysis, so the balance wouldn't shift that much. However, he'd be able to bring out the emotion and make the commentary come a tad closer to entertainment from hardcore strategic analysis, making it more fun and easier to listen to. I'd like to have some idea on whether you guys who'd be fine with both dual and solo commentary think about this option. Would it be better? I might experiment both either way |

| Your VODs actually helped me an absolute SHITLOAD in getting out of D- and into the solid D range. I've since stopped playing seriously at all, but I'm sure they would have continued to help. |
