hey guys i wanna pick 1 race and stick with it but i cant decide i like all 3 races and play random so here are some of my good points and bad for each race for me not true for every1
my T:
1. i have for some reason the worst macro as a terran
2. because of this i have minerals left over
3. my best mu in t is tvp if i go bio for tvz i lose
4. i can follow build orders pretty nice as terran but i hate playing tvt
5. i always go mec as terran like 99 percent of time unless im bunker rushing but i suck at it
6.because of my wack macro i cant do 2 things at once like when im fighitng all the lights are off at my factories for some reason i just cant macro well as T i dunno why
7. my apm is 200 -210 as terran
8. my best unit as terran is vulture control and use wise
my Z:
1. best macro out of the three races for ME i know its not true for every1 else
2. i cant really follow build orders well as zerg and cant determine when to stop making drones and units
3. best match as z is zvz yea it doesnt make sense zvt is decent my zvp prolly worst mu
4.i always get overlord blocked as z more then terran supply blocked or pylon food blocked
5.Sometimes i just screw up big time on bo and it costs me the game
6.any1 who cheeses me i lose big time i suck with zergling and drone micro
7. my apm is 170-180 as zerg
8.my best unit as zerg is lurkers and employing stop lurker
9. i have a problem with saving up larvae i always use it up and hatch in extra drones
my P:
1.I love playing pvt and is best mu for me when im p and pvp is decent just horrible in pvz
2. i hate playing gosu zerg players when im p ill lose
3. i have most fun playing protoss cuz of reavers and storms
4.macro is decent not bad not the best
5.sometimes i just have a mind fuck and i lose shuttle with 2 reavers.. i do this alot
6.i use hidden expo alot as p more then any other race and i lose when its discovered
7. i follow bo pretty well in pvt or pvp but im lost at pvz
8. my apm drops to like 110-120 when i play protoss for more then 30 minute games
9. my best unit as toss is reaver and i got decent shuttle control but sometimes i mess up

Stop APM spamming. There's just no way to get 200 apm and not be macroing at all without spam.

And that's all you need to write. Any problems with your play can be improved through practice, so all other points are almost irrelevant compared to this. You can't make a race more fun to play, but you can improve how you play them, so always pick the one you enjoy most regardless of anything else.

Yeah.
If you're having the most fun playing protoss, play protoss. If you try to main as a race you don't enjoy playing, you will end up offracing quite a bit. Also, if you're having fun playing it will make it easier to improve. So... protoss is the way to go. |

No matter what race you pick you're gonna have a hard matchup. If you went with Zerg you'd be complaining about MnM being OP. Terrans will whine about Toss 1a2a3a, etc. Sure, a lot of people think PvZ is the worst matchup, but enough storms and smart sair/dt usage will get you through 90% of zergs until you get to a high enough level for the balance to REALLY have an effect.
Regarding "EZ win protoss fag," I take it as a good sign that every race is looked at as easy mode by some people. That means the game is fairly balanced. "What a noob, all you have to do to win as Terran is press O" "What a noob, all you have to do to win with Zerg is mass hydras and A move" "What a noob, all you have to do to win with Toss is 1a2a3a" "MnM is broken" "Ultraling is broken" "Storm is broken." I'm sure everyone reading this thread has seen all those at least once. No matter what race you pick, someone will think you're a bad person for it, so just ignore them and play who you want.

EVERYONE has trouble macroing as T, everyone has an easy time macriong as Z, PvZ is hard, if you love storms and reavers, play protoss.
I play T because I simply love siege tanks, I love marines, I love irradiates, I love spider mines (I mean cmon, they are mini-nukes with detection and invisibility!) I even love SCVs, how can I not play T, even if my Z is probably better (yes, I know, its not as hard).
Play what you love, you will work out the strategical kinks and whatnot later. |
