Note this is all in a college dormitory room.

My Vista laptop can play LAN UDP with my friend's Vista desktop, both connected to the Internet via Ethernet cables. We setup nothing before previously in order to get LAN UDP to work. When I try to play against my other friend on a MacBook via LAN UDP ( MacBook using wireless for internet while I'm on an ethernet cable), he can join the game I hosted, but when the game starts, it says the other person has disconnected. Same deal seems to happen of ICCup. We both have the latest ICCup maps folder.

How do I get LAN UDP to work with my friend on the MacBook? Is being on ethernet cables or using wireless for Internet relevant?

Maybe they don't have that, and if they do they can't help... Apple is a status symbol mate, it's users are not likely more tech savvy then Windows users, as it has been said in some fanboy written articles.

Anyway, sorry dude I don't really have any decent advice other than have you tried using hamachi? Call me crazy but I've had LAN work over hamachi when it didn't work over lan lol
