Click here for the matchups. Change "round" to 1-7 on the top right to see all 7 rounds at once. The map shown on the top are the first set maps, from then it follows this order:

So, if Destination is the first map, set 2 is Match Point, set 3 is Outsider, etc., and if Heartbreak Ridge is the first map, set 2 is Fighting Spirit, set 3 is Destination, etc. (I hope this is easy to understand  )
The lineups for each match will be posted on this thread the Wednesday before each match. Coaches must submit them by Tuesday before each match.

Format and Rules
Format
1. The 16 teams will be divided into two groups with 8 teams each.
2. The top two of each group will advance to the tournament stage.
3. The format of the matches will be Bo5 Proleague style, where the players for sets 1 through 4 will be predetermined by the coaches, and the 5th set will be chosen on match day if needed.
4. No player may play twice in sets 1 through 4, but they may appear again for the 5th set.
5. If a player cannot play in the match that he is signed up for, the other player of the same race may be substituted in his spot, but only one player may be substituted this way per match.
6. The lineups are to be submitted by the coach by Tuesday before the match, and will be released by Wednesday.
7. The replay for the matches are to be gathered by one of the two coaches and sent to me via PM as soon as possible, along with the results (please indicate bye's clearly).
8. The default channel to gather on the matches is channel: op [CPL]
Rules
1. Standard iCCup rules follow for the matches.
Bugs/tricks in game:
Allowed to use:
— Plague on interceptor
— Units pressed through
— drops to defuse mines
— Mineral walk
— Manner Pylon
— Lurker hold position
— Observer Over turret
Not allowed to use:
— Flying drones and templars
— Terran sliding buildings
— A bug which allows your units to remain stacked while moving/attacking
— Allied mines
— «Gas walk» to get through blocked entrances or ramps (Incredibly common bug, using a shift click on has near opponent’s blocked entrance to slide through any possible unit or building wall.)
2. All matches MUST be played on the maps from the CPL Map pack.
3. The coach from each team are allowed to observe the matches, given that they do not give any hints of any kind to the players.
4. Only the coaches, administrators, and streamers are allowed to observe a match.
5. The matches are to be played on 14:00 EST on Saturdays (20:00 CET), but this is only the guideline time. If it is more preferable for both sides to play the match some other time, it is okay to do so given that both sides agree.
6. If the opposing team/player does not show up, there is a 30 minute grace period before the team/player is forced to forfeit the match/set.
7. The matches do not have to be played in set order.
8. The players must play their matches on their [CPL] account when they play.
9. There is no rule regarding how the coaches decide to coach the players.
10. You may play ladder games on your CPL account.

The groups and matchups for the group stage will be announced on the 12th when we drop all the players that haven't joined the team and the teams are finalized.
The purpose of the evaluation match is to give the players, coaches, and us an idea of how the league will be played. It will help sort out any problems with the rules and/or format, and get us ready for the league.

I have no knowledge or experience with streaming. If you are streaming, please forward all your questions and comments to RaptorX and this thread.
Players
If you know you can't have the time for this league, please tell us ASAP. Remember to join the team with [CPL]YourTLName, not your iCCup name. We will accept you into the team as soon as possible.
Coaches
Although the main goal is to win, I think it is important that all the players get something out of this league. Therefore I encourage you to use players that might not be as good occasionally, so everyone can have the experience. Also, communication between all of the people involved is essential in order to keep this league going smooth.
This is a very large scale event, and we're bound to run into roadblocks. I believe if everyone commits to this league, everything will go well.
I encourage everyone to check this thread once at least every two days, although I will bump it every time there are updates.

I need that all the streamers set up their [Stream]Nick or [S]Nick account so we dont have troubles with not being able to enter a match as an observer because it is Prohibited to observe a game if you are not a Coach - Administrator - Streamer.
As soon as the teams are setup I will setup the Calendar with all the matches per nicks and giving the opportunity to the Streamers to stream to the official channels. After the official channels are full I will allow the streamers to broadcast to their private channels, it is otherwise not allowed to stream to your private channel.

I will have to practice more since I am selected, I hope to not disappoint the coaches and make them rage quit because of how horrible I play . This whole event should be fun.
I like to suggest that one of the player in team 4 and team 2 trade spots. I seem to notice most of the teams have 2 D+ 3 D and 1 D- but team 4 have 2 D- and team 2 have 4 D.Last edit: 2009-12-09 11:17:46 |
