Guys stop hating on Flash
I noticed some differences between the daily e-sports and fomos interviews (I only found out recently that they were different) so I've added them both in where applicable.
BeSt: "I will defeat Flash"
My observer was too slow so I couldn't stop the nuke. (Fomos interview)
- It's the first time you've gotten to the ro8.
▲ It's the first time but I had to go through Survivor (TL note: or whatever you have to go through to get to ro32), ro32, and ro16. It's been an eventful road.
▲ (Fomos interview) It's the first time but there's been a lot of events this MSL. From Survivor to the ro16 team-kill, it's been very eventful and got a lot of attention, but I got the ro8 this way so I want to do well in the ro8 as well.
- Both your games were very close.
▲ To be honest, I was behind in both games. There were events that caught me off guard and I panicked a lot. I played on not certain that I could win. It's unfortunate that I had to beat my teammate Canata hyung but I'm glad I won.
- How was your game today?
▲ The map was good for Terran. I only got to practice a few games but the preparation was the same.
- (Fomos interview) It must have been difficult to prepare for today's game.
▲ The map is good for Terran so preparing was difficult. I only got to play 3 or 4 games because of Proleague, but Canata hyung said it was the same for him. I didn't get to practice too much but I tried my best during the game, which I think let me win the game.
- You lost your expo to a nuke. Your reaction when that happened?
- (Fomos interview) You got hit by nukes both games.
▲ When I heard that a nuke was launched I didn't have an observer at 1 o'clock. They were too far away so I didn't have a choice but to get hit by it. At first I thought I was just going to lose my probes but when I lost my Nexus I thought I was going to lose.
- There's a high chance that you'll meet Flash in the ro8.
▲ I've heard that if Flash qualifies for the ro8 there's a high chance that I could meet him. It's my first time facing him so I'm a little flustered, and I think he's a good player so I will prepare my best and try to qualify for the ro4.
- (Fomos interview)Your thoughts on your ro8 opponent?
▲ My opponent hasn't been decided yet but I hear that if Flash wins there's a high chance that I'll play him. If we end up playing my opponent would be Terran so I'm confident. It would be the first time I play Flash so I'm a little flustered but I'll win and get to the ro4.
- You're the strongest Royal Roader candidate.
▲ People keep telling me to continue the legacy of getting the silver. They tell me to continue the legacy but I don't want to get the silver, I want the gold. I think it's more important to focus on the ro8 rather than on the legacy.
- Anything you'd like to say?
▲ I feel a bit sorry for Canata hyung since I won against him but he did his best, so I hope he continues to help me and I promise I'll get good results. Whenever Canata hyung plays against Protoss I'll help him so I hope he hope he doesn't take this too personally.

Kwanro: "I will definitely win this season."
- After 1 loss you won twice in a row to get to the ro8.
▲ I wasn't expecting much but I'm happy that I happened to get good results. Riding this energy through the ro8, ro4, and finals, I will definitely win this season.
- The reason you weren't expecting much?
▲ I'm in the process of training my body to be able to focus just on the game. That's why my control isn't perfect just yet. Despite that I won, so I think my condition will get better sooner.
- You must've been disappointed with your first loss.
▲ I wasn't too disappointed since I lost because I didn't play well. I still have a lot of games left. The Proleague is in the 2nd round and there's still the individual leagues. I think it would be adverse if I tried to hurry. I'm trying to enjoy my games.
- You had a memorable late-game oriented gameplan.
▲ That's just one of my many builds. I could've done 9drone, 12pool, or 3 hatchery. This was a build that would take advantage of a safe build from my opponent.
- As the last MSL's silver winner are you nervous now that the gold winner got knocked out?
▲ I am not nervous. Since I got silver last season my desire to win gold this season is large.
- It's your first interview after Stork's.
▲ I don't have anything to say (TL note: Yea, well... block of text incoming.) I felt sorry for myself. But I thought that I had the skills and even got to the finals last season. Stork might've made a mistake but I thought that I had to do well myself. Reading such an aggressive interview made me a bit bitter. (TL note (Fomos version): Stork was probably on edge when he had the interview but he had a very aggressive interview. I felt like I had to do better and it made me a bit bitter.) If the fans feel sorry for me I ask them to subscribe to my fan cafe. I got the silver last season but my fan cafe popularity is waning. I will try my best so I hope they support me. I don't hope that I ask that they support me (laughs).
- Anything you'd like to say?
▲ Despite it being Christmas, the Terran player hOn_sin helped me practice a lot. We're up against eStro in the Proleague. I believe winning helps one win more, so I hope I win. I'd also like to say thank you to my teammates that have helped me.

Hwasin: "Kal is my worst opponent"
- Your feelings on getting to the ro8.
▲ I've gotten to the ro16 a lot but it's been a while since I've made it to the ro8. It's been said that I'm weak in this type of schedule but I won 3 games out of 5 so I think it's a good chance to change that.
- It seems like you guessed your opponent's strategy perfectly.
▲ Instead of increasing my practice time, I thought a lot more. I had a feeling my opponent would do a fast nexus without a gateway. I think I won the mindgame. Even if my opponent did a 1-base game I wouldn't be in a good position but I'd have plenty of room to catch up with so I chose that build.
- You've been doing well recently.
▲ I don't think I haven't been practicing too little recently. I've practiced so much I lost track. Effort is effort but I think being mentally firm has led to my good results.
- There's been a lot of instances where you couldn't get past the ro16.
▲ I have to post good results to say something to those people who think lowly of me, but I haven't had that chance until now. This time I will say all I want to say by doing well.
- You're meeting Kal, your teammate, in the ro8.
▲ It's put me in a dilemma. Out of the 8 players it's the player I wanted to face the least. He's the worst opponent to face. It's an individual league, so of course I want to do well and win, so I'll try my best.

Flash: "I've secured a seed so I'm satisfied."
"Don't debase my effort with one bad comment."
- It's been 4 seasons since you've made it to the MSL ro8
▲ It's been a while since I've secured a seed in both leagues. I've accomplished my first goal so I think all that's left is to move forward.
- You got into both the OSL ro4 and MSL ro8.
▲ I have a game tomorrow so I can't be satisfied yet. If I win tomorrow's game I'll be winning 3 series in a row so I think I'll be able to feel a big happiness for the first time in a while.
- Your opponent prepared a very tight build against you.
▲ At first I wasn't panicking but then I found out my turret didn't build and I panicked. You have to build the turret between workers on Match Point, but despite the fact that I told it to build one my SCV didn't build it so my opponent benefited greatly. ZerO definitely took advantage of this. I was disappointed after I lost, but I was thankfully able to steady my heart and secure the next game.
- If the turret built do you think you could've won?
▲ I don't think ZerO planned on attacking me that way. He told me during the pre-game chat that he just wanted to pressure me but when he saw that my SCV couldn't build the turret he attacked agressively. That's why during the second game I took special attention of that aspect as I played.
- During the OSL you had prepared a build and today you played my standard. Is this your mindgame?
▲ I felt like this would confuse my opponent. I had today's game in mind as well when I prepared the bunker rush against Jaedong, and I think it had good results.
- Now you have to face BeSt in the ro8.
▲ BeSt plays well against Terran. Historically I haven't won against him but he's not a player I think is unbeatable so I think I have plenty of chances to win.
- The maps favor BeSt.
▲ For the MSL maps it's alright playing against Zerg but playing versus Protoss is difficult, but like yesterday's game where I won against Jaedong despite the unfavorable map, I think I will put faith in my skill and play.
- You must want to win the MSL.
▲ I haven't made the gold my goal. My previous goal was to get seeded, and I know my career is still lacking. Even then instead of focusing on the gold I will focus more on trying my best to win the game in front of me.
- Any parting words?
▲ I was a little sorry because I had prepared a bunker rush build yesterday and so many fans had showed up. I was sad after seeing the fans become sad. Yesterday's build was a build that could've been played with even if it got blocked. That's why I prepared it so hard, but there were people that spoke ill of me just for bunkering (TL note: T_T don't hate guys). They even spoke ill of my parents, but I don't think anybody has the right to do that. Debasing my week's worth of effort with one bad comment is too much. I hope people don't do that from now on.
