"Hello, Goodbye" SC2 Beta Tournament!

I started off my "Starcraft career" at Team Areola (AKA AixaZnKid, got a position of replay rater for awhile) then worked my way to TLnet for my Starcraft news. I consider myself "old school," as I saw the rise and fall of broodwar.com, the OG SCLegacy, CompUSA Starcraft tournament (assem, Cyrax, mywifeforhire, hurtntime), peak of clan ~nohunters, and shitty-ness of x17. Met so many cool friends over the internet, and until recently, UCSD CSL team (YAY TEAM XERIS_!!!!!!).

But ever since my mother passed away a month ago, I keep remembering what she kept saying about my gaming and CSL team - "Stop playing games so much, seriously! Quit that team of yours!" (-.- lol) The day before she went unconscious, she actually told me that again -_-;; I have full intentions fulfill her wishes (which includes quit smoking/drinking among other things).

So I shall. Before my leave, however, human part of me still wants me to try out SC2 beta (that I received for placing 2nd in CSL Finals vs Waterloo) and I've enjoyed so far. However, I do not believe when the full version comes out, I won't play as seriously as I played SC:BW, but rather for single player campaign and sometimes to play with my IRL friends, especially UCSD CSL players. But other than that, it won't be anything more than a small hobby that I will enjoy very occasionally. (This doesn't mean I won't get on TL, just not as much)

However, I want to do one last thing for this community. A tournament.

Single Elimination Ro128, Bo3 until Finals, Bo5, free selection race, with rules/time/date to be determined. (weeeeeeeee finals weeks... -_-)

Really, I want to thank everyone I met, either through online (born-to-porn, rise, dimsum, etc.) or offline (semioldguy, Diggity, Xeris, cora, jaeyun, paulkim, xuz, and all my wonderful UCSD CSL teammates.) for this amazing experience. I have no idea what I would be doing if I wasn't so crazy about StarCraft, and the community did so much to help me fully experience to be a fanatic.

And I'm sorry that I never got to play UVic and Duke especially in CSL. I really wanted to meet OneOther and smash him in CSL finals next season, but unfortunately, the opportunity seems as if it'll never come.
