NoNy never said that lol, he just stated that he felt that the winner should get more attention then #1

Yeah; I'm also more of a fan of solid mechanical play that can also be spiced up with some nice creative stuff and White_Ra really figured out some pretty solid builds that don't die to cheese and give you a great opportunity to experiment with different follow-up's.
It's just really amazing to see how well he does when he got his solid Builds figured out.
But as said before: I think creative players are not bound to be bad at mechanics and just good with cheeses and TLO seems to be one of the players that, at least in this early stage of the game, are on top with mechanics and creative play, but White_Ra is just someone that can handle all sorts of situations. He's creative in a defensive way, like Day[9] said about how winning isn't everything, it's also important to not loose. This kind of creativity is maybe not so amazing to watch as the Games of TLO, but it's pretty impressive as well.

anyone can make these weird gameplans that could theoretically work. genius is knowing how and why they work against any response the opponent can do. to see a gameplan fail so hard against a super simple and obvious response of 3gate, which he even scouted as it happened, shows some horrible thinking...
Clearly he's not the best overall player and he made a few bad calls, but he's the most fun to watch for many of us. Why are you asking us to justify anything beyond that? This concept should be painfully obvious, especially during March Madness.
I don't think anyone in this thread is saying anything else. People started a thread saying they liked this new player the had found. They liked watching him play and they liked his style. Then someone came along and started flaming him and flaming Nazgul (The random TL mod who unlike Incontrol deserves no respect since he has no Starcraft merits.)

exactly! I'm pretty creative myself but I think that TLO just played SCI and then when he got SCII beta he just experimented as much as possible with everything he could(I would do the same) and went random so he could do it every single game and his strategies would be more effective.
White_Ra is great mechanically and knows how to make a great BO and understands a lot of SCII beta. I'm sure he also knows most of the same stuff TLO knows and because of that he was able to counter the strategies TLO used. He also had to look at every cheese and unusual strategy he could think of that could counter his BOs, because of this he has both great game sense and great mechanics.
I no longer expect the best in people. Sadly, I am beginning to expect much worse.

Attitude? my post is attitude free bud. Just saying, the winner of the tourney is having his thunder stolen by the loser.. what is to not understand?
I think this thread is a lost cause - it seems infiltrated by hopeless fanboys eager to jump on anything nicks brother says.
I respect InControl because he has some serious accomplishments under his belt in the RTS world. The rest of you can shut the hell up because you don't know what you're talking about at all.
You and your "5 years of competitive RTS experience" can take a hike.

I think all this hype shouldn't be taken too serious: PPL are just thrilled to see some very interesting games and get pumped up and stuff, there's really no need to be a buzzkill here or think everyone in this thread thinks TLO is the greatest thing since diapers for seniors... -.-°
It's just fun and if you think TLO doesn't deserve this hype, then don't buy into it, but don't drag everyone else down...

White-Ra is totally awesome.
I think it's just people beeing impressed by:
- He plays random - He makes new, unorthodox strategys work against top players - He wasn't well known until now

We are spectators and we want show, we will know who played best but we will cheer the one who threw more nukes
It's just a way it is. No one said anything against WhiteRa, he dominated through whole tournament and won it. Everyone will say he was the best, but that doesn't mean that some other player didn't play some great games. Not everyone has to cheer for a winner, especially if someone makes few really fun games + he isn't well known. imho tlo completely deserves his fame, as does WhiteRa, it's just we all know that WhiteRa ownz, we don't have to repeat it every time (:

Unfreaken' real. The feed went out on the stream at the same time the nuke hit. Unreal... This was the best SC2 play I've seen to date. And Day9 took it too even higher heights. Well played everyone and thank you.

What a tough road to the finals for TheLittleOne, he's such an awsome player, and even tho he didn't win, it doesn't even matter because he showed us his outstanding performance .
