It seems like there's a lot of wasted space in the spectator UI. I think it would be really great to have a minimal UI that opens up the bottom 1/4 of the screen for spectators when [Everyone] is the selected viewing mode. If you select a player's pov specifically(via F1, F2, etc...), the camera could zoom in to the player's pov and show the normal HUD so that you can see what the player is doing... But while [Everyone] is selected, I think most of the HUD space could be better used to let us see a lot more information all at once instead of having to flip through a bunch of tabs in the top left. I'd like to see them bring back the ability to hotkey map zones like you could in BW. Or if that's something they don't intend to bring back, maybe instead allow spectators to create their own hotkeys on units and buildings as they're watching so that they can get around the map and to the action via hotkeys similar to if they were playing. What do you guys think about a suggestion to allow spectators to zoom out more than normal? Just to be clear, I'm NOT suggesting that [players] be allowed to zoom out. That subject has been discussed ad-nauseum. But what about spectators, livecasts, etc... Do you think it would be worthwhile to allow them to see more of an overview so that it's easier to spot large engagements and then zoom into them? | ||

Tell Blizzard, I've got about 150 posts on their forums for UI suggestions and my threads just die in the ass, too much "QQ roach" "QQ reaper" "QQ muta" posts - the suggestions forum is nigh on useless. I have _so_so_ many ideas for changes this game should have (not in balance - in UI / Controls / Features) | ||

I would really like to see a possibility of bookmarking locations. It could be done with F1-F12 keys. It would be helpful with constant checking strategic locations. Well obviously you need a unit to see through fog of war. But those units die fast thus constantly reasigning groups is a mundane task. Furthermore I don't know whether you can bookmark allied units ? If not this is a second reason why bookmarking locations would be great. | ||

I dunno maybe its just resolution or units grouping, but in SC1 when I was around 180+ supply it was big big army on the ground, seriously in TvP the half of map was cut straight in the middle with great numbers of tanks and bigger number of vultures. It was always 5 and more hotkey groups to move out when you decided to push. Now in SC2, when game gets (not so often) to a phase when players have 170+ supply its kinda just handful of units, just a small blob on a map nothing impressive... Zergs can get nice big armies (more like must) but as for toss and terran its more about balancing the units composition. Would not it be great to rise max supply to 300 and accordingly rise the amount of minerals per patch? Maybe now at this stage of the game, what would happen is that players would expand way late when they can launch several attack attempts from one base, but later as game progress and reckless attacks are punished hard by stronger economy/army of opponent, when the game would get in to macro mode as SC1 did, it would be great to see some REAL BIG BATTLES | ||

1: When you press F1, camera always centers to idle worker. -When I press F1, if the idle worker is on the screen, it does not center. It would help because sometimes I don't know who built what and where the unit is. I don't like having to click in circles just to find out my SCV was behind the barracks. 2: Change Hellion AI so that they line up when they attack. -Right now, the AI tends to form nice concaves when you tell a group to attack. Now that's great and all for most ranged units. But for Hellions who have a thin line of splash damage, it causes them to do the least amount of damage possible. If Zerglings can get auto-surround, Hellions should automatically form a straight line. At the very least, disabling the "concave" AI for Hellions should be good. | ||

I rather like the tactical skirmishes throughout the game. well true, HW requirements would go up, and yes only 1-2 times can someone manage to get that big attacks then resources would be gone, but that can be fully controllable by minerals per patch. and that part about skirmishes is kinda not related... you can always attack whenever you like and it takes so much time to get 300 units that it would rarely happen, but when I see game where everyone is screaming oh what a big army that is because toss have 7 collosi, and terran have uh oh 12 tanks !!!! its kinda sucks that we will not see some big battles with 30 tanks and adequate infantry or 20 collosi supported with big fleet of void raids.... | ||
