Yay, so I can add my rl friends, most of whom don't play at all, to Battle.net, but I can't play with people from the US, with whom I played BW most of the time.

Oh for CRYING OUT LOUD. No LAN, no hosting replays, no clans/teams, latency from 1998... but Facebook integration? Blizzard, get your goddamn act together!

The game having Facebook integration: Don't really care. It was bound to happen.
The game not having chat channels, clans, cross-region play, 2010 latency quality, and group replay watching because they were too busy implementing semi-Facebook features: Screw you Blizzard.
Good to know that I can add my European friends to my Bnet friends list. Too bad I can't play with them since I live in the US.

Battle.net and Facebook, sitting in a tree…
Activision Blizzard has announced today that it will be officially linking its Battle.net service to social platform Facebook. As an example of the functionality, StarCraft II players will be able to add Facebook friends to their Battle.net friends list. Finally, you'll be able to easily join StarCraft skirmishes with all of those people from high school you you either a) don't remember or b) never spoke to, but they added you on Facebook anyhow.
The functionality will soon be added to the ongoing StarCraft II beta test, and is expected to ship alongside the game, which was just dated for July 27.
