Most TL liquid people didn't believe match fixing before this. No amount of deductive reasoning with them would convince them. But as soon as an offical channel says so, it becomes the truth, without any independant research by the individual. So no, I can't help you. But you might want to prepare a load of excuses for yourself, to preserve your reality as this plan proceeds. More pro-BW scandals over next few months, so be ready.

especially savior i never liked that douche , but so many here literally have altars set up in there bedroom they pray to twice a day
lying to his coach swearing innocence .. the entire time screwing his teammates over ... from badly needed bonuses .. and stealing replays .. and the entire time he is the highest paid player

the guy is a total loser and has no ethics whatsoever .........you have b team and a team gamers working 12 hours a day for peanuts just for a shot at what he got,,,,,,,,you have other gamers almost at that level that were probably inspired by him ,,,, not to mention they probably get bonuses for the winners league race ... ... those games he threw probably could have an effect on those bonuses... if i was a struggling A team gamer barely making money , and the absolute richest player in e-sports is match fixing on my team costing me a chance at a badly needed extra money .. ...........well lets just say ... get a rope... time to get the mob together
I don't know if anyone is really standing up for Savior at this point but, barring the rope (relax man) I agree with you: I cannot imagine the hurt of his young teammates and other progamers who, for all we know, joined Esports because they believed in players like Savior, believed he could make it into a true and respectable sport.
No, wanting more money is not an excuse. It excuses many things, but not the betrayal of your fans and coaches and teammates and friends and young progamers and would be progamers who draw inspiration from you.
That said...lets not speak out from hurt and start the lynching talk. I think all people are saying is that as messed up as Savior is, he's hardly the worst kind of human being. He is, however, a pathetic shadow of his former self, and an insult to his own legacy.

The whole thing is so retarded that I am left speechless.
And sorry, but although I feel sorry for him, Savior is a moron. Risking infamy, prison, and any kind of future in esport for a couple thousand dollars for buying some vulgar nouveau-riche Gucci shit, that's so immature that it's almost funny.
Now what the fuck is he gonna do? No future in esport whatsoever, cannot even exploit his reputation. He will probably lose his saving with a huuuge fine if he is luky enough not to go to jail (at worse both).
So what for Ma Jae Yoon? He is gonna do his military outside Ace and then? KFC? Starbucks?
That's really saddening how people can be silly. |

I would still like to hear Savior's explenation. Not that there is really anything he can say to rationalize his behavior and make people feel compassion towards him, but there's got to be more to it than "I wanted money". It likely started small somehow and snowballed, could be interesting.

and like i keep on saying, and even though i'm a Z player, i always DID feel a dark aura about him, even in 06. and even though at the beginning i hated him for coming out of nowhere and defeating nada, boxer, oov, midas seemingly effortlessly, i was one of the many people who eventually became captivated by his unchallenged march to the throne. i guess this whole thing doesn't really affect my fanboyism, since i knew he was evil from the very start. in fact all this new evidence about just exactly how devious he really is might just end up strengthening my captivation and fascination of sAviOr

You are indeed very respectful Z but...didn't you say that you were playing devils advocate? That usually implies that you're defending someone simply because everyone else is against him.

As I said in an earlier post, I misused the term "devil's advocate", believing it meant something it doesn't. And yes, I believe Savior is being done an injustice. There is a torrent of emotion and pack mentality going on in this thread against him, pushing the hatred towards him out of proportion. Of course he deserves a lot of heat for doing what he did- but he still did provide a lot of entertainment and excitement in the past. I believe Savior should still be thanked for all the good he did, back when he was the mover of many people's dreams and hopes- just as he should justly be damned for all the harm he's done with the match-fixing scandal.
He may have broken your heart, but he is a man, not a monster. If I had been his fan, I would wish him punishment in the form of justice for his crimes, but I would also wish for him to draw the correct lessons from this experience, and the best of luck in his future endeavors. |
