While the new unit idea is not on the table right now, I can confirm you that in the next patch you will see some interesting changes to the whole distribution and effects of Zerg abilities. - Zhydaris

The upcoming patch contains a little tweak to Void Rays that will hopefully make them more vulnerable to microed units, such as Hydras or Vikings.
I just wanted to assure you that we're looking into this and we're monitoring this unit closely.

Anyway, our current plans are to release this patch before the end of the first phase of Beta testing.

So.. Overseer, Infestor and Corruptors will potentially get changed or moved abilities. Thursday is today so patch notes willl probably come around 4:00 pm pacific. (My opinion based on previous patches) Can't wait. The last blue quote means that the update is this or next week. (Phase 1 ends May 30th).

I really can't see them making too big of changes, but hopefully this'll add something to zerg play that just seems to be missing currently.

I think that is exactly what they are implying. Blizzard has shown they are fully capable of making drastic changes to a game post-release as shown in WC3 (and WoW).

Blizzard won't disappoint. It's only beta and it took SC1 and War3 a shitload of patches to perfect.

I don't expect them to get it right the first, second, or even fifth tries. Just to get it right eventually. That's what makes blizzard so great. WoW is almost a different game from when it was released, just like SC1, WC3, etc.

Isn't this patch 14 coming up, they fixed a mac issue in patch 13.

Agreed...Which is kind of sad, since I loved retail WoW.
As for the OP: I hope they pull through, facing against zerg (while it is my best MU) is as boring as they are to play. Hopefully they will make tunneling claws standard which would help justify the 2 supply cost of the Roach now, as well as encourage more people to research burrow.
